Service was top-notch. They have Pomona Queen on tap and make a great expresso martini. Very friendly and attentative staff. Happy hour was $4 off cocktails and specifically priced appetizers. The bacon wrapped dates and calamari were delicious.

My wife and I went out to celebrate our anniversary and chose Allegro mostly because of distance and we feel like it’s a hidden little gem. We got there without reservations and asked if we could sit at the bar until we could get seated and that was the best decision. It really just felt like a date we’d go on before Covid, before having a baby. It was dark, romantic – just the way we like it. We had so much fun sitting at the bar and talking with Cortney. She was an absolute delight – kind, friendly, funny, knowledgeable. Thank you for the chat, Cortney!

This used to be my favorite Italian restaurant in the area. Unfortunately, over the last few months each time I visit I have a different experience. Sometimes the food is great like it used to be and sometimes it is not good at all. They have been inconsistent in the quality of the food and they have raised their prices to levels that seem somewhat unreasonable for the location and menu offerings. I expect to pay over $20 for a plate of just pasta (no meat added) in Claremont, but I don’t expect that kind of price from a restaurant on a side street in Upland. This location used to have the best chicken fettuccine, but the increased prices and inconsistent quality makes it not worth taking the chance of a less than great experience by dining here. The garlic bread is delicious when it is served hot.

I just had the best sit-down meal in Upland this year at Allegro. This spot has been here for years, and sometimes I forget that this cute little Cafe serving Italian bistro style cuisine is still one of the most solid spots to eat in town.

My family enjoyed a delicious meal here to celebrate an anniversary. I had not been here for about 6 years and I am certainly glad my spouse encouraged me to give it another try! I had a perfect salmon salad that was light, yet filling. The angel hair pasta with olive oil and fresh tomatoes was delicious too! Our waitress (aka, “Reece Witherspoon”) was incredibly friendly and helpful! We will definitely return soon!

Don’t let the patio fool you. Bland, overcooked food brought by bad servers. Expensive, but bad wine. We decided to leave after smelling the mussels in my linguini tuttimare. Had to FIND our server to give her what we owed and her tip. This place thrives on its location and nothing else. Servers are seen eating (sitting down at tables) in the dining room while everyone on the patio is waiting for service. Nothing about this place was decent.
