Just Jerk
As they say” Always go where the locals go” and the locals go here!!! They try to keep it that way by only having 1 sign by the parking lot entrance and you have to guess what door to enter. They have 2 dining areas where you seat yourself. We had breakfast here which came out quick, fresh, hot, and delicious. The service was excellent. If you are in the area, definitely worth a stop.

I found the Allenwood Cafe to be a simple and spartan basic eatery with a good basic menu. It’s a comfortable hang out with a neighborly feel with the locals eating there. Good local conversation was in the air, and I felt invited to join in and had a good time. They stopped serving breakfast late in the morning, but I got a grilled ham and cheese that was good. Pleasant and friendly waitress, clean well bussed tables. Good affordable prices. Easy parking.

The staff were friendly, the food was good with decent portion sizes that seem consistent for the prices. The only thing is this seems to be a regulars only kind of place so the dirty looks from the other patrons seems to be a guarantee in the couple times I have been there. Small space and people think they are talking quietly but voices carry so there was a fair amount of critique of me and disapproval over my being there that I actually got to hear but I am not easily offended and others eating is really of little importance to what I think about a restaurant. I have returned a couple times because I like the food and I plan to continue to do so when I am looking for a good meal on my way through.

I love diners…. and this one is above most! Very nice young waitress and food came out quick. Don’t go to a diner expecting flame boiled tuna with grilled seaweed… be realistic ppl… good food, good price and quick service!

Always busy. The food is always good. Hot & fresh. Friendly service. It’s a great gathering place for the communities of Montgomery, Allenwood, Dewart, Watsontown and White Deer. I particularly enjoy their baked corn and turkey club platter. I would recommend to anyone traveling through the area or visiting.

I would give 4.5 stars just cause they should have a little more help in there. Two of us ate for under 20 bucks (with drinks). Doesn’t look like much from the outside but it was very good home cooking. Waitress was very friendly and the food was relatively quick coming out.

This is our favorite diner. Usually go for breakfast but love lunch and dinner here too. The staff is amazing and always pleasant. Very organized and accommodating. The food is as traditional diner as it gets. Great value too.
