Okay, I rarely write a review, but our experience last night deserves one. We’ve been on vacation in Pagosa Springs for over a week and haven’t been extremely impressed with the food options (the choices are somewhat flat and the service hasn’t been great in town, so we’ve mostly cooked at home). We’ve been really looking forward to a special night at Alley House to cap off our trip AND celebrate our anniversary. EVERYTHING we ordered was cooked perfectly: fillets, shrimp, Chilean sea bass, pizza, scallops, calamari. We splurged and ordered one of every dessert on the menu…our entrees were THAT good. Our server was professional, personable, and checked in on us at all the right times. They were a few minutes past our reservation time in seating us and our server wasn’t pleased with how long it took our entrees to arrive; so, in the end, the manager comped our check a very generous amount. We’re still not sure we deserved it, but do 100% appreciate your generosity, Alley House Grille. We will be back.

We were really excited to have a romantic dinner at the Alley House Grille while we were in town. The directions getting to the Alley House were confusing, so we ended up parking in the large dirt parking area next to the restaurant. I would advise not parking there as the place was very muddy. We ordered the calamari, two glasses of wine, pan crusted chicken, elk, and the 3 chocolate cheese cake. We really enjoyed everything we ordered, but the mashed potatoes were a little disappointing that came with dinner. Overall this is a really great spot to eat at and I would recommend this place if you are looking for a nice meal while in Pagosa Springs.

Good food, good service. My husband ordered a medium steak, it was a tad closer to medium rare, however was still good. The Brussels sprouts were excellent.. I had the acorn squash and would definitely recommend it . Also had a Great Gatsby from the bar that was well done.

It was dumping wet, heavy flakes for hours yesterday/last night and a quick swipe of the steps with a shovel or broom would have made them less treacherous to be sure. We got seated quickly but it was at least 10 minutes before anyone came over to us. After that, all was well. Food was great! Watching the snow out those beautiful big windows was magical. Hubs had a pizza and I had the bruschetta and the stuffed acorn squash. The stuffing was awesome I just wish there was a bit more squash in there.

My husband and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary in Pagosa springs this last weekend, and I was doing my research on good restaurants. This one popped up and it looked good.. and after my regulars suggested this place as well..(I’m a waitress in CO springs) it was a done deal. I mad reservations, which I recommend doing, because it looks like it fills up quickly. Anyways. It’s pricey.. but it’s worth it. I ordered the filet mignon, and it was the best steak I’ve ever had. It melted in my mouth. My husband ordered the shrimp and salmon. He enjoyed his as well, but liked mine more. Lol. Can’t go wrong with a filet. So if you’re looking for the best meal ever (every meal I’ve had since then has just been… Eh) lol, and you don’t mind spending the money. Come here.

Please visit this place if you are in town! I treated my mother here for her birthday and we had the most wonderful time. Alisa was an amazing server and made our experience perfect! She offered to take a few photos for us and made sure everything was how we liked it. The food and drinks were to die for and well worth the cost. We want to make a return trip just to enjoy this wonderful restaurant again!

For me it’s the best restaurant in Pagosa Springs for the atmosphere & food. I love the lighting & the patio seating. It’s like a fun big city restaurant here in little Pagosa. I always sit on the patio side, but there’s also the other side that has a fireplace & is more quaint. So it’s basically the best of both worlds. The food is delicious, and they have a great selection of signature cocktails. It’s a great place to come & watch a game, and a great place for a romantic anniversary. I can’t say enough to describe how wonderful the Alley House is. I just love it!!

I was in town to visit family on my birthday. Made reservations for the patio. (Same menu where ever you sit). I don’t know where to start. Table was available and was sat immediately. Our waitress, Jane, was quick to take drink orders and was more than happy to talk about the cocktails and apps with us. I can’t say enough about her service. The food? WOW! There was 4 of us and we all ordered something different to plate share. NOTHING disappointed. The elk tenderloin with hunters gravy, best bite of my life. Kitchen ataff, excellent job. Pricey? Yes. Worth every mouthful? Absolutely.! Stop by for the 1 of top 3 meals of your life. Thanks again Jane and staff.
