On feb 21 2022 Me and my coworkers decided to go eat to try this new place thinking it was really Mexican food but sadly to say it wasn’t what we expected. We ordered those 3 plates mine was the three chicken tacos but I thought it was fresh shredded chicken and it was the can chicken and it was a little salty. The lady that served us was very nice.. Great food and super nice staff! Our waitress, Laun, was very sweet and accommodating. The food is very good. It tastes fairly authentic and the prices are good. Would definitely recommend! They have some fun special events such as trivia, happy hour, karaoke, etc.

To be honest, the food was extremely mediocre at best, I had the three taco special and a Corona. The bar tender seemed friendly enough, however she seemed more concerned with her staff/friends than attending to her clients. However she was generally nice, it was just when I was trying to get Her attention it seemed she was busy with chatting to her people than service, per se, she didnt even give me her name. The food ehhh thank goodness it was a special, definitely not worth their regular price. I will say the beef seasoning was decent/good/thorough and the carnitas held up well but the chicken should be nixed. I was trying to tell her the latter (all of it was feedback, not critical) but she kept almost like avoiding me, I wasn’t sure why maybe she’s not good with confrontation

We visited Almigos in August… we have been waiting for this place to open for awhile. We were quickly disappointed by the food and service. I provided 3 pictures of our food. As you can see the street corn shrimp was swerved on a bed of soggy lettuce. This was to be a half pound of shrimp. But it was 8-9 pieces of very small shrimp. Far from a half pound. Jumbo shrimp is 20-24 pieces for a pound and this was not jumbo shrimp. The burger and fries were below par as well. The chichi mic hangs was very dry and served with a soggy salad. Almigos is far far far from being authentic Mexican food. I have visited most Mexican restaurants in Lancaster, and this is by far the worst one. Visit the following places when looking for authentic Mexican food:

A perfect place for a small group of friends to hang out in. The first thing you see as you open the door is a bar. The restaurant surrounds the bar. Food was good and service was very friendly. Highly simply recommended!

This restaurant should not be called a Mexican food place. Starting with the smell that slapped you as soon you crossed the door, followed by the fact that the pictures are not showing the real menu they are offering. The decoration is very Mexican style but the music was not. I ordered a salad, they didn’t have the ingredients called out at the menu, on top of that, the diced tomatoes were rotten taste and their own dressing recipe was never to be found on that salad. If you are looking for a very authentic Mexican restaurant you should go somewhere else.

Nice makeover of the old Carlos & Charlie’s. Only had drinks and karaoke, so I cannot do the usual full review. Staff was courteous and prompt. Good so far.
