I have always had great success at this fun shack on Francis and on Monroe. Dining in always has a nostalgic feeling of being in Hawaii. I typically order the protein plate, warning the LARGE is a substantial portion great for sharing. This time I chose the small.

Paid $62 for 2x half plates and a bowl. Get all the way home and find out I didn’t even get my pea salad so disappointed!! I look forward to that every time I go but probably won’t be going back. Prices went up more and sizes are smaller. Its just not worth the price anymore

The food is tasty but there is always something missing. I ordered 3 plates and paid extra for lava sauce. Did not get the lava sauce. I’ve picked up an order that was supposed to have pea salad. No pea salad. Just meat and rice. Like I said, the food is tasty, so I just need to make sure to check the plates before I leave.

You know it’s it’s something different. In our everyday society. We always have cheeseburgers pizza, barbecue Chinese, Indian food. Finally a change and comfort food and barbecuing as you know. Hawaiian style chicken, pork, beef, hamburgers even with pineapples on it. What else can you ask for?

Not gonna lie the food was amazing. The gentleman who attended us was also amazing. The reason for the 4 stars is because they only had a select portion of the menu available although it was July 4th. Also giving 4 starts because the lady who was either management or owner was ruuuude when the gentleman helping us asked her questions she seems so annoyed.
