When I got here, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The area was nice, but I’m guessing because it’s by/at UNLV.

We ordered stir fry vegetables with chicken. The chicken wasn’t seasoned at all. First i added shoyu to see if that would make it taste better.. it didn’t.. it tasted like it was old chicken? Not sure but it was awful and my bf agreed. We asked the server for teriyaki sauce to make it taste better because it was awful.. he said it would be $1.50 more .. I wasn’t about to pay more to make the food taste good.. it cost me $36.00 for chicken teriyaki and a chicken salad and two egg rolls. I ate the veggies because o had to get back to work and didn’t have time to go elsewhere . Should’ve gone to Two scoops..

Food is not bad. Most dishes they serve is rather bland. I’ve also had their musubi and it was a thinly sliced SPAM on a slab on sticky rice. I should of just made myself some at home.

I had the chicken katsu and it was delicious. I also had their spam but it was very salty. I guess it’s because they may be using regular spam and not the one with less sodium. Overall, loved the food, service, and atmosphere.

Been here many times before. I know times are tough but WOW. Ordered a katsu plate which was good as usual. What I wanted was katsu cutlet, which is with gravy rather than katsu sauce. She said they can’t do that but she can charge me for a side of gravy. OK no problem. But when I get home there is maybe three tablespoons of gravy in a tiny container. ($1.29) I also ordered a beef stew plate which tasted alright but the meat was super tough and the portion size was sad. ($13.49) I ordered a stew plate but all my wife got was about a cup of stew (if that) in a small bowl. I also ordered a Loco moco plate. ($11.99) Once again it tasted OK, gravy was good, patty was OK and the eggs were done over easy, my problem was the portion size again, so sad. Definitely not what it used to be at Aloha Kitchen. Not to mention (my fault, wasn’t paying attention to the price) $3.49 for a SINGLE CAN of Hawaiian Sun juice.

We usually eat at Aloha Kitchen on UNLV Softball games, not because it’s close to Eller Stadium, but because Aloha always serves great food. Lumpia Shanghai was hot, crispy, and yummy, a great appetizer. Hubby’s Katsu Chicken and Kalua Pig Combo (served with 2 scoops of steamed rice and a scoop of macaroni salad) was delicious, and my Adobo Fried Rice Omellete was delicious and enormous (with enough left over for lunch the next day). My only criticism is that we asked if they could make it spicy and they said yes but must have forgotten. No spiciness for me. Still mighty good! They’ll get it right next time, I’m sure.

I was looking for a decent place to eat off the strip and I heard that Vegas had a decent selection of Hawaiian places, so I decided to give this one a try. I had the curry and Katsu plate and while The Katsu was a bit dryer than I’d like, overall it was a pretty good meal for less than $15.

Island cuisine. We ordered the Saimin with won ton, teriyaki hamburger, aloha plate, kalbi, and seafood BBQ Mix with kim Chee. Overall the flavors were there with the exception of the teriyaki sauce. We prefer teriyaki sauce with a little more of a ginger blend. The hamburger patty was huge but the was filled with the taste of fillers. The food was okay and if you miss the island food this is a spot to get your fix. This location is less than a 5 minute walk from Greenspun Hall at UNLV.

I ordered a bowl but most had meat options so lady taking the order said they could add Mahi Mahi after telling me no salmon was available(?). I’m not sure what I got but it sure wasn’t a bowl. The noodle salad tasted awful, the fish tasted like it was prepared with old oil and the tartar sauce was just plain gross. If I had paid $5 for this it would have been the right value maybe but $18 for this is ludicrous
