This is such a wonderful spot, with a charming, inviting patio and groovy interior. I’ve eaten here a bunch of times, always had good service and love the salads and avocado toast, but I’m really addicted to the Smoked Trout Dip — I have to admit I’ve eaten it again, and again, and again!

I stopped in late in the afternoon after a long hike- moderately delirious and forgetting that it was Alpina’s first few days since Local was retired. The host greeted me out front, reminded me of the change, and helped me land on ordering their burger….which I’ve now had 4 or 5 times since – it’s insanely good!! New name/ new layout, same super high quality menu!

Alpina is my favorite place to bring friends for lunch. It’s absolutely gorgeous with delicious food as well! My favorite is the chicken gyro–loaded with feta, cucumbers, juicy chicken and more! I love the staff at Alpina as well. They are so warm and greet me by name. I can’t recommend it enough!

I am super fortunate to have found Alpina. It has become my “ground zero” when I visit Aspen, and I have met some amazing humans attending events at Alpina and popping in for meetings, etc. Great food, very comfortable atmosphere, great people, and great connections!

I can’t believe that even in Aspen I can be out of pocket $31 for two small coffee’s and a muffin! Come on! You do not need to charge $7 for a small coffee. That’s got to be around 1000% mark up. Soooo disappointing…. this used to be called Local but there’s no way this is for locals. Do better!

Went here after being a fan of Local Coffee house for many years. The barista was amazing and so sweet and made delicious coffee- but the rest of the staff was horrendous… between talking about their wild night out, how hungover they were, and who they slept with, they kept commenting I was taking “too long” to drink my coffee. I had headphones in. I do not think they realized I could hear them. They kept saying loudly “you’re not allowed to drink coffee out here” in a conversation with one another.. instead of just telling me I guess you can no longer sit outside to take 15 minutes to drink a coffee that was served to me in a glass container. They seemed disinterested and didn’t pay great attention to anyone else sitting outside. This is disheartening considering this used to be a go-to place during my Aspen trips.
