We went there for Easter brunch. The buffet was underwhelming and not worth the price. There were just a few sides. They ran out of shrimp within 15 minutes of us arriving. They ran out of dessert by the time we finished our meal. My mother was looking forward to carrot cake. We had to stop at Walmart and pick dessert up on the way home.

Easter Brunch was not very good. Ham had too much water in it, not very many side choices, ran out of scrimp and deserts. Would not go back next year or for Thanksgiving.

Had not been in many years to find a totally different buffet. Years ago, the buffet was incredible, especially the salad buffet. Now minimal offerings and those offerings are minimal in taste. Very few patrons.

Stayed at the hotel, didnt really eat in the restaurant, but they were kind enough to get me hot water for my jello that i make like tea. (It helps with jetlag and settling my stomache.)

Three for bad marketing. On their giant street sign they advertise buffets, but on their web site, there’s barely any mention of the buffet. I finally found the price of the buffet on the regular menu, but nothing else. I figured maybe a rundown of what’s in each different buffet because it is a little pricy but could pique my interest more if I knew what’s being served, a reading of the menu is very enticing. When I try it I’ll write a real review. The place looks real nice and comfortable and it’s not a chain hotel.

We used to take our friends to the Alpine Lodge Restaurant for Sunday brunch when we had a special event. The decor was charming with the German/Swiss cuckoo clocks, the dessert tables had beautifully-displayed and made-from-scratch deliciousness, the made-to-order omelettes were a treat and service was fantastic. Service is still fantastic, but what happened?!?! The entire buffet is a fraction of what they had, obviously doesn’t have the same level of chef preparation, and the special ambiance is gone. Unfortunately, the price stayed the same. We took our friend from a nursing home out for what we thought would be a special treat. We were so, so disappointed. Her prime rib was chewy and the desserts were dry. Sad to see the end of an era. We won’t be going back.

The Sunday Brunch Buffet was excellent. I very much enjoyed the prime rib, blackened catfish, scrambled eggs, spicy Cajun soup, and fresh berries. Not every hotel’s Sunday buffet is worth the extra $$$, but even though we don’t drink the included Mimosas, I was o.k. with the price.
