Amazing experience from start to finish! A lovely woman took our reservation over the phone and was so friendly and lovely when we arrived. The bar is adorable- we could see a tom turkey walking in front of the windows right when we walked in! Our server was also so friendly and attentive! The food was absolutely amazing!!! We had bacon wrapped water chestnuts, ribs, salad (best ranch peppercorn ever), steaks, loaded potatoes, and the homemade chocolate silk pie!!! We can’t wait to go back!

Great restaurant with reasonable pricing. The food quality is well worth the time and money. When you drive towards Alpine, it gives you a very “Up North” feel that gets you relaxed and ready for a get dinning experience. The building itself gives of a cozy vibe and nostalgic feel. The service is great, and the wildlife out back is always fun to see.

It was cozy and the food was very good. The hostess was very friendly, but the bartender not as much. It was a little noisy since the room was small, so I had a hard time hearing the specials.

Went early Friday afternoon and the place was fairly packed already. Three of us ordered the fish fry and I got the schnitzel. Glad I ordered the schnitzel. The three were not overly impressed with their fish. I on the other hand greatly enjoyed my schnitzel. Our server was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go again for the schnitzel.

Excellent fish fry, shockingly reasonable kids menu and great drinks! New ownership kept the inside charm looking the same as it did when I was in last 30 years ago.. Ira the goose may be long gone but I definitely won’t be waiting another 30 years to go back…

Best prime rib I’ve had in a long time. Service good. It’s sooooo loud. Could barely hear the waitress or the people at our table. But food was awesome!!
