Amazing food and staff that genuinely care about the quality. Open kitchen and friendly cooks. Love love love this place and the nice lady gave me sauerkraut to try. Lovely restaurant with very crispy to die for fries and hotdogs. Will def be back

I’m so happy I just discovered this place! Best sandwiches in town, and they’re BIG! I’ve tried the roast beef croissant sandwich (the sauce was especially excellent!) and the smoked salmon with Brie on sourdough (salmon, cheese, and bread all fresh, high quality, and tasty). Atmosphere is also so cozy. Regular lunch staple for me now!!

This place is the best sandwich shop in Evanston. Every time I visit Chicago, I try to make it to this place as it brings so many good memories, and the food has been consistently good for the past 16-17 years

Amazing and unique sandwiches. Homemade sauces, soups, cookies. I went every week in college and still dream about it. Wish they would send me one (many) of those Belgian chocolate cookies.

Quick and extremely satisfying sandwiches. They are filling and they do not skimp on the cheese. Bread? Perfect. Brie? Perfect. Salmon? Perfect. Oh..and the macaroons? I ate that slice of heaven so quickly that I could not even take a picture of it. This is my new favorite place to eat when visiting Evanston. Pictured half a BLT on baguette and half a salmon sandwich on sourdough.

Eaten at this place off and on since 05. Roast beef and blue cheese on the baguette was my favorite. You have to try the cookies and if you’re lucky enough to be around during the fall, get a spice cookie if they still do those.
