The menu was pricey, but the main courses didn’t live up to my expectations. The cocktails and the naked wings were good but not worth the price. The flatbread was also good. The steak was tough, although not overcooked. I believe it was not from a high-quality butcher. Service was friendly and thoughtful, but slow. Meet here for drinks and appetizers. If you’re still hungry, go elsewhere for dinner.

Grabbed a quick lunch here during the art festival and it was really nice to sit and have a relaxing lunch. I went with the Fro, which was really tasty and good sized. The Husband went with the Ego Burger, he thought it was fine. It was structurally challenging and with the plating made it a bit difficult to eat. Service was fantastic and the guitar player was really good. We would go back to try some of the other items on the menu.

I gotta say, this is by far one of the best experiences I’ve had in a very long time. My wife and I went for our anniversary! The drinks were incredible, the appetizers were nice and the entrees were delicately crafted. They even gave us a complimentary dessert! The cook on the ribs were to perfection, my only critique was the flavor of the sauce was a bit strong but the meat melted off the bone. The burger was incredible, bit spicy like the flat bread but not too bad. Had some fresh flavors and the swiss cheese melted beautifully! To my surprise, the fries were my favorite part of the meal! I have NO idea why, but it was to die for! Overall I look forward to returning and exploring more if their menu items. The service was a bit slow but I truly felt cared for and prioritized. The chef is quite friendly as well! See you soon!

Hidden gem. Have passed by many times and finally stepped inside. The hamburger is crazy good! Big but not too big with onions, pickles and lettuce – and a secret sauce that is elevated. It has a sweet finish, and the bun brings it home. Good fries, good service and no crowd at all. Nice place. Can’t wait to go back!

Alter Ego in Tempe, AZ is a food lover’s haven! Their steak salad is a delightful blend of juicy, perfectly cooked steak and fresh greens, creating a heavenly harmony of flavors. The cocktails are simply divine, crafted with precision and bursting with creativity. From the first sip to the last bite, Alter Ego delivers an unforgettable dining experience. Don’t miss out on this culinary gem! Also good to come during happy hour. PS it’s in a hotel.

We had a good but overpriced breakfast, and a pretty good lunch by the pool, but I was beyond disappointed by the dessert delivered to our hotel room. The online menu said they were $9 each. I was charged $12 *plus a delivery charge* (to my room at the same hotel) for what essentially were dry muffins rolling around in a drizzle of syrup in Styrofoam containers. I am surprised Chef would let these leave his kitchen (see photos). I gave feedback twice, to no avail.

We popped in for breakfast on a Sunday. When I saw the place was empty and had numerous servers, I thought that boded well. However, we were there 30 minutes. My husband got a coffee quickly but was never asked about a refill. My water was empty after we were there 15 minutes. Meanwhile, the staff chatted together at the bar. We ordered one jumbo cinnamon roll that took 15 minutes to come out. It was okay, the outside a touch tough and the heating inconsistent, though the fresh cream cheese was nice. We waited yet again for someone to notice we were done and we finally gave up and approached them at the bar to settle the bill. They were nice enough folks, but not observant at all. I wouldn’t bother going there again.
