Walked in on a whim when I had intended to go to seven hills just up the block. Both restaurants are delicious. This feels a bit more like classic Italian. The atmosphere inside is great and the pastas are top notch.

I never leave reviews for restaurants, but this was the worst customer service I have experienced in my life. My husband and I came here because I got an electronic gift card from my grandmother across the country and obviously it gets good reviews, so we were excited. The food came out pretty quick and it was good, but by no means the best Italian food we’ve ever had. There are countless other Italian restaurants in SF and I strongly recommend going to one of those over this one. We haven’t been to Italy, so standards aren’t sky high either.

Reminds me of a restaurant in new york! Small and cozy interior, with seating options on the sidewalk and road booths as well. Yummy! I got the truffle pasta (titled something very italian) which was so strong and rich. I can’t emphasize enough the texture of the noodles was so perfect al dente. The arancini was delicious as well. Though it was on the higher end price wise.

We had a wonderful dinner at Amarena! Great wine selection, beef carpaccio, orecchiette and the special was a paccheri with a surprisingly light tomato and buffalina mozzarella sauce. Finished it off with the Gelato All’Amarena. Service was impeccable – very attentive but made you feel comfortable to take time with your meal and beverages.
