This was only my second time here. I don’t live close but I really like this little restaurant. I got a turkey sub to go, but let me start at the beginning. I was greeted with very friendly service and a warm smile. They were patient as I looked over the Italian eatery menu that are basically the same as other Italian places. I placed my order and looked around to see a dining room but also a quick sit and eat section. My sub was made quickly so my wait was short and the sub was delicious and big enough for 2 meals. When in the area, I will definitely visit Amato’s again. They don’t skimp on the meat and cheese either.

Amato’s is a family Italian style restaurant with great subs in their own pizza crust type bread. They have very good pizza too. The only negative I can say is like most Italian restaurants today, no veal.

This past Saturday I had a few people over, we decided to order out.I ordered a pepperoni Sicilian pizza, it was ok. I also ordered 2 large Italian subs, no onions. Well they both had onions, and the bread was doughy, not good. When I placed the order they said 30 minutes. Most people understand it takes awhile to make a Sicilian pizza, it’s ok to say it will be 45 minutes, instead I waited a half hour, than sat there and waited and waited and waited.. it wasn’t a pleasant experience, sadly I won’t be going there for a long time. I’ll take my business elsewhere. Oh and when someone has to wait for their order, you can say sorry…

Overcharged and order prepared incorrectly. When calling in to inquire was given excuses, without the resolution to reimburse for the over charge, or at least give us the proper amount of food. The menu prices increased significantly and is understandable but $40 for spaghetti and a small cheesesteak is ridiculous, especially when it wasn’t prepared as ordered. Not even a “sorry.”

Was not at all satisfied. Went hungry this day. I ordered and they made me the wrong food. I called and told them I wanted a refund and they said they will have to check with management. I told them this is not the food I had ordered and I am not eating it. It was thier mistake. They told me they would give me store credit I told them I would never come back there. Soo after much hassle and wasted time they finally refunded me my money and I did not eat that day. I don’t recommend this place at all. Very bad experience. I got mad when this popped up for review. I would have rather just forgot this entire experience.

This place is not recommended. There quality of food is ok but they do not know how to cook. They have a good location and that’s why there still open. I Stromboli and a pizza there and it was undercooked. I gave them plenty of time to make it and it was so white. They were not even busy at the time. I ordered 2 different times from there and the same thing happened. Wouldn’t recommend it’s a last resort

Went during COVID and would have given it a 5, went tonight, the food was ok sausage tasted old, but the biggest thing was the waitress asked if I wanted meat sauce or tomato sauce with my plate of spegetti I asked if a price difference and she said no, when I got my bill we were charged for meat sauce and 4 extra for the sausage and meat balls. The meat sauce had very little meat. When I brought it up to the waitress she said she would check, she came back and said no the bill was correct. So we got hosed for the “mistake”. The waitress apologized, but the restaurant didn’t make it right. I still have a bag “taste”in my mouth. Doubt I will ever go back.

We were seated, given menus, soda, then told it would be an hour before they could get to our order because of all the call in orders for takeout. Your inside customers come first. This is a sit down Italian restaurant, not a fast-food drive thru. Needless to say we left, and won’t be back.
