Whoa, I just had the most incredible Somali food at Amaye international restaurant in Portland! I rarely write reviews, but this place truly amazed me. The flavors were exquisite and the dishes were expertly prepared. Highly recommended for any foodie seeking an unforgettable experience!

While I haven’t experienced authentic African food before, this restaurant sets an extremely high bar! Literally everything on my plate was full of flavor, seasoned perfectly, and with large portions. The service was friendly and inviting! Please give this place a try! I highly recommend the Chapati Beef! I WILL be coming back when I visit Portland!

Best East African Cuisine so far. Newly opened. There are a couple of options but you wait for the order. We had the chicken suqaar over rice. Will definitely return.

Food is very good, especially tasty, with ugali, rice, pasta, and chapati dishes. Goat, lamb, beef, chicken. The roasted meat and stews are both good. Separate women’s area available (typical for Islamic settings). The one weird thing is that there are no prices on the menu.
