Amelio’s on the River is a family owned staple in Logansport. It has been open for more than 150 years in the same location making us the longest operating business in the area. We embrace our heritage with Italian inspired American cuisine. Our 100% never frozen beef hamburgers have been voted over and over again as the best in the Pharos Tribune’s Reader’s Choice contest. My parents and I had dinner here. They went there for their anniversary something like 50 years ago! Still a fantastic place. We had steaks! Delicious, well chosen, ribeye cuts (no chewy parts) and a comparable price point. Atmosphere is great, very bar like on the bar side with music ect. The family dining side is nice but the music bleeds over a little. Not so much you can’t have a decent conversation but enough you know it’s there. Overall it’s a good atmosphere, with great food and great service!

This is my favorite breaded pork tenderloin ever! Handmade and the toppings are super fresh. My dinner companions had great looking 8 oz filets, a burger, chicken smothered in mushrooms and mozzarella, and vegetarian pasta. Dustin took great care of our large group and even brought Walter the dog to visit us

My husband and I went here for our anniversary. Never been there before. Food was delicious. I had the smothered chicken with salad and green beans. Husband had chicken Alfredo and salad. We had potato skins. Ended up bringing chicken and pasta home. Stuffed.

Had a surprisingly delicious meal with the family. Our waitress, Deann i believe was spot on hospitality and nice personality taboot. Food didn’t take to long even tho there were 10 of us. Wife and I splited our meals so we had the pork chop and chicken, both were cooked and seasoned to perfection served with 2 sides which were also delicious. Definitely recommend this little hole in the wall to anyone passing through.

Service was good. The food is a bit pricey for the quality. You would expect a little bit better food for the price but it wasn’t bad. Also a little bit boring looking on the dine in side. They do offer a bar only side as well.
