The American Farmhouse is one of the BEST restaurants in town. I love their food. Every time I go I always start off with the volcano shrimp. Then go to their shrimp poboy’s and they never disappoint. To top everything off I always end with their famous Blueberry bread pudding roped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Or a root beer float which is a must have.! Their staff is very friendly. If you have not gone you are missing out!

Absolutely fantastic place to eat! Genuine meals that range from juicy prime cut steaks to belly-filling fresh-from-the-Gulf seafood. The Farmhouse always has me coming back for seconds and thirds. Can’t get enough of it. If you need a recommendation, start off with some Volcano Shrimp, ease into the Cowboy Burger, and finish everything off with a tasty bowl of homemade White Chocolate Blueberry Bread Pudding with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream.

Amazing restaurant and live music venue. Family oriented and a wonderful place to bring the kids. The volcano shrimp is a must! Steaks and burger are the best! The staff makes you feel like you are at home! If you haven’t tried this place, you are really missing out!

Pass by here every other weekend and have been wanting to go. Placed a to-go order on my way back to Mamou. The trio appetizer had the best fried pickles I’ve had. But, it was DEFINITELY NOT worth the price. Would have enjoyed the pickles with ranch like it said it came with, but all there was was bbq sauce. Wouldn’t have been much of a problem had I not been in the car. Even though the polite lady on the phone repeated my order back to me, it was still messed up 🙁 The brisket was good. The BBQ beans were not. The mac and cheese was mediocre at best. The potato salad is basically a smashed baked potato with ranch dressing over it. It was ok food, but NOT worth the price. And the Bananas Foster Pie is NOT a pie. It is cheesecake. I like cheesecake, but only when I want cheesecake. I was expecting some type of pie not a banana caramel cheesecake 🙁 Really disappointed 🙁

When in with a lady friend to have a bite to eat cause we was hungry. As soon as we walked in the service was great, but wish i can say the same about the food. She orderd the full rack of baby back ribs which the ribs were good. But also a bit on the hard side could of been more tender. And i ordered the 24oz Ribeye steak med rare with onion rings. Which was one of the worse steaks i ever had, spent most of the time cutting the fat off. I mean i at least cut off about 4oz of fat off the steak. And for the price it was i was hoping it was going to be better. I didn’t even get a chance to finish it. I just set it aside and paid for my over priced meal we had. And didn’t take any leftovers. Had to go to taco bell just to get the grease taste out of my mouth.

All around great atmosphere! Definitely a family environment. From the volcano shrimp to the juicy steak you have to finish the night with the blueberry white chocolate bread pudding. I’ll definitely be back.

The American farmhouse has and always will be my family’s favorite restruant. If your looking for southern comfort food, just like mama used to make, this is deffiently you’re taste buds destination. From the delicious appetizers down to the delectable deserts; there is no ppossble way you will leave unsatisfied.

I love this place. Located in Central with some of the best quality food I’ve had in a while. The 9oz. Bone-in pork chop is always a go to for me personally. I tried the Cowboy burger and it it the best around. Friendly staff, great service and awesome atmosphere. I will be back!!
