Through the fake pandemic, they have taken away the sald bar/ mini buffet and the staff said it’s not coming back. This restaurant was last of the Bonanza/Ponderosa style salad bar / everything buffets (back in the day) in my world. Buffets are now too expensive to maintain, it’s sad.

I will not be back again EVER. Place reaked of Mildew. Food was NOT good at all. Buffet wasn’t accessible for guests. Way over priced for NO reason. I ordered the Ribs with Steak option. Asked for Medium steak, came over cooked. Ribs were an absolute JOKE. Hardly any meat on them. Corn on the cob was OVERCOOKED. Only good thing was their pre packed tossed salad. Don’t waste your time going there. Save yourself the trouble.

Overall is a good experience, the staff is friendly. Food taste great. But still no salad bar?! All other salad bars/ buffets had lifted restrictions, so please stop with the covid excuses. If your not bringing it back, just say so. In my case the small pre-made portion aren’t good, salads have cucumbers which I’m allergic to. The pasta I was served in a previous visit had too much sauce. What a shame. The prices are the same but we are getting less. If you are so concerned why not provide gloves and plastic utensils for the salad bar.

Though it’s been many years, this fine restaurant has been a part of my childhood & we’d frequent it often on weekends when we’d travel to Meriden, CT to visit my Babci (Grandmother) who has long since passed away. They had a very comfortable, clean, & cozy atmosphere that was family friendly & “serve yourself” style large buffet with many delicious choices, wide variety, & terrific selection! Something for everyone. Salad, steak of course, sides, pasta, desserts, etc. Great service, nice place to eat to take the family, or would also be enjoyable for large groups, special occasions, couples, or solo dining. I still remember the mousse from the dessert bar. Thank you Great American for all of the wonderful timeless memories!
