American Tap Room’s buffet style brunch is a mistake. I found the entire experience tacky – it reminded me too much of a continental breakfast that you find in a hotel.

Ribeye was a bad steak. The temperature was right, but the cooking technique was bad. No browning on the meat and it wasn’t seasoned. Too thin to allow enough cooking time for the fat to render out. The “Gorgonzola” crust was just a teaspoon of crumbles sprinkled on at the end, definitely not a crust. Service was also pretty slow but the waiter was nice enough. Atmosphere is nice. If you hate food and want to feel like you’re at a nice place then go here. Otherwise don’t.

The HH is what saves the review here. Great prices and lots of great beer on tap, not to mention the food is always good!

Phoenix wings were great, The tap tap shrimp are better than bang bang shrimp and the beer was tasty. The service was very good, but better bar tenders are more involved with the customers. over all great experience

American Tap Room has a nice beer and wine list. In terms of beverages, everything is reasonably priced. I wish the happy hours were not limited to the bar area but extended to the dining room. For drinks, our party ordered an unsweetened iced tea and a Pub Dog Blonde. I didn’t like how we had to ask for bread – warm baguette and butter and there was a $1 charge for it! For entrees, our party ordered P.E.I. Mussels, Almond Encrusted Trout, and Shrimp Linguine. Each item on the menu were great portion. The P.E.I. Mussels – about a pound of fresh, tender mussels, garnished with basil, roasted tomatoes, shallots, and served in a garlic white wine sauce. The mussels were served with two char grilled toasted baguette slices. The sauce was mildly spicy and tasted like it was bacon infused. The Almond Encrusted Trout – thick filet of trout, covered in almonds and sautéed capers, and brushed with lemon butter sauce. The trout came with freshly steamed green beans and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes would have tasted better with gravy. The Shrimp Linguine reminded me of Shrimp Scampi. There was linguine with 4-5 sautéed shrimps and diced tomatoes in lemon garlic white wine sauce. We felt that the sauce had the right amount of butter.

Never got to eat there because when I called ahead for a party of 20 the guy I talked to asked if I had kids and I said 5-7 kids. (They’re 11&12) and he told me they don’t usually take big parties especially with kids because the kids run around and people post badly about them on social media. Well they just lost our business

I want to like this place. I like the idea of many of the menu items but have been routinely disappointed in the dishes.

Advertised a Monday deal on window of restaurant. No stipulations noted on sign. Would not honor price because they claimed it was happy hour at the bar only. Food was okay, but not for what I had to end up paying for it.

Very comfortable space, nicely decorated, super friendly bartender, and quick service. The food was very good, generous portion sizes. I will definitely return and recommend ATR to friends.
