Incredibly delicious, creative and generous breakfasts. Homemade focacia bread is wonderful! Fresh ingredients. They are very receptive to customizing your meal so you’ll be completely satisfied. I had the omelet with tomatoes, onions, chorizo, avocado, and the homemade salsa. Omelet was hanging off the plate. We’ll be back!

I cannot say enough good things about Ames St Cafe! All of the food we’ve tried, we love. The service is friendly and quick, the restaurant itself is cozy and filled with plants, and the owner is such a genuinely kind human. I highly recommend adding a cinnamon roll to your next order – you won’t regret it!

Love love LOVE! Elk rapids needed a brunch place like this. Their breakfast and lunch is great. I love their BLT, french toast, and honestly any of their baked goods. They also have great service and are on honest with you about when tables will be open.

I can never say enough good things about this place! The food is excellent and the coffee is great. They have oat milk, gluten free toast and gluten free pancakes. It’s a win for everyone! Plus, it’s cute

Living with food allergies makes going out to eat very difficult. I was THRILLED to hear that Ames St Cafe was more than happy to offer substitutes. I was offered gluten and dairy free pancakes and I had oat milk for my coffee! It was heaven today and I will be back as often as I can.

Absolutely delicious! The best eggs benedict I’ve had. They use focaccia bread which is genius and a perfectly poached egg (not easy). The potatoes and coffee were also spot on. The servers were so kind and efficient despite a full house and a new system (only a couple days into opening). So excited for our new breakfast spot and hoping they will be here year round for the locals, especially since there’s nothing else open here in the winter Thank you!

What a fantastic spot for breakfast! The crab Benedict was amazing and make sure you get the home fries.

Our crew arrived at the Ames Street café is it with four adults and five children. Dining area was full and so the wait staff seated us on the patio that was not open (it had just rained). Even though the patio area was closed today allowed us to congregate in the area. Our very kind waitress helped us get drinks and put in a to go order. We have small children in our party so it was nice for them to have some space to roam and we got a delicious breakfast. Highly recommend the sausage sammie with home potatoes and the pancakes – both were excellent. The food, the service, and the overall accommodations were delightful. Highly recommend this establishment.
