Good food and great service. Would like hotter salsa and more choices of hot sauce.

We enjoyed a late lunch with my father-in-law. The only issue was the chips were stale, but other than that everything else was good(food & service). You also have to pay a fee for using your credit card at this establishment. We will definitely be back when we come out this way.

After being out of state for over a week, had a desire for some local Tex-Med and boy did we hit a winner. Amigos Y Familia was just what I wanted (dare I say needed). Great rich salsa and chips, friendly service, instant seating despite having a baseball team and family celebrating a game. My Amigos y Familia platter was a mountain of mixed meat and veggies including, shrimp, beef and chicken. Great homemade flour tortilla’s. This mid afternoon lunch was enough to power me straight back to Pipe Creek and the remain 2 hour drive.

We traveled to Franklin, TX for my son’s baseball tournament and discovered… well, there’s not much to choose from in Franklin. One of the choices was Amigos y Familia and it was pretty decent for what it was.

Seat yourself, which led to about 10 minutes to give us our menus. The young lady brought the menus and said the waiter would take our drink order. Another 5-10 minutes to wait for waiter to come to our table. Only 2 other tables were occupied at the time. Chips looked like we got the bottom of the bag. Queso tasted like velveeta that was microwaved and already cold when it got to the table. Food order was wrong. Husband ordered beef fajita enchiladas. The young lady (I believe her name is Mia) told him with an attitude, that he was charged for ground beef. 5 minutes later, I received my plate of ground beef enchiladas. I ordered cheese but didn’t even say a word. The beef was not fully cooked. At this point, we just got up, paid the bill, and left. Horrible experience! Lesson learned for us. You would think the restaurant would actually read reviews and want to make changes for the better, starting with customer service.

Great food was relatively good pricing and we didn’t have to wait to be seated. The food came out pretty quickly and even my kids enjoyed there food.

I’m a native Texan and Tex-Mex food is a mainstay for most of us here . The food was not terrible but we will not return. Wait staff too busy talking with each other to take care of customers and the hot sauce not so hot! There is a much better Tex-Mex place in Franklin just down the road.
