Visited this place for the first time and calling it a hidden gem is an understatement. The restaurant was small and quiet which adds to the ambience that I think a restaurant like this really benefits from. The food was delicious and even though they were out of the wine we wanted to get, what we did get was also very good. Definitely recommend and would certainly come back again.

This was the most amazing, delicious Japanese restaurant I have ever been to. When you first pull up, you don’t expect much. It is in a plaza off in a cut. But when you walk in it is traditional Japanese. The sushi chef is an older Japanese gentleman and his wife I’m assuming, seated us and brought out hot rolled washcloths, which are traditional in Japan. The server was so attentive. We ordered a volcano roll, pork gyoza, and the beef filet mignon entrée, which included miso soup and ginger salad. First he brought out the gyoza, as soon as we were done, he took the plate and shortly after, he brought out the soup then volcano roll. As soon as we were finished, he took the bowls and plates and brought our salads. As soon as we were done with those, the little older Japanese lady took those bowls and not long after dinner came. There was a smooth transition from one dish to the next and no long wait. The beef entrée was so delicious. It was so juicy and tender. I’ve never tasted anything so delicious. We were the only ones there on a Saturday night which I couldn’t understand. This place was amazing, it should have been packed. I would definitely give this place 5+ stars and definitely will go back.

I love amimoto! I wish it hadnt taken me so long to try it. Such a cute small restaurant with extremely hospitable staff. Everything we ate was delicious. Takoyaki was great so was the spicy tuna roll and Pork Katsu Curry. Only place around that has Japanese curry. I will definitely be going back.

What a wonderful place! Smaller restaurants but cozy with wonderful decore. We enjoyed the beautifully presented absolutely delightful dishes we ordered! This place is awesome. The sushi chef knows his craft well. Everything was on point, will be back!

This is hands down the best quality sushi you can get in Southwest Florida. Staff is always extremely friendly, atmosphere is cozy, and as stated before, the food is phenomenal. The wait can be slow at times, but it is well worth it. Go give Amimoto a try!

The food was great. We’ve been here twice before and the food has always been good but to ask for a fork 4 times, forgetting a meal we ordered, forgot two miso soups, a salad, and edamame that we wanted BEFORE our meal (that is what an appetizer is after all) is absolutely ridiculous. No apology from anyone in the restaurant. I got to the point I went up to the sushi bar to get my own wasabi because the waitress was not doing it and we asked 3 times. We’ve been here for two hours and have been waiting for our check for 20 minutes. Our sushi was sitting at the bar for 30min until I finally asked if it was done and come to find out it was the one sitting up at the bar. Very disappointed in the lack of service at this place. Food is great but be ready to sit here for a few hours waiting for food.
