Was working in NYC this summer and stumbled across Amma Grill. I ended up coming here every weekend! Great food and amazing service. Definitely try this place if you’re on the fence – their Chicken Tikka Masala and any of the Naan’s were my go-to (my favorite was the garlic Naan).

I’m not even done eating and I absolutely needed to leave a review of Amma. I have a bit of an Indian food obsession, so I’ve tried practically every spot in Manhattan. I kept it simple and ordered the chicken tikka, lamb biryani, samosas, naan, and mango lassi. When I tell you this tasted like home on a plate… this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in NYC. The chicken and lamb were super tender, the rice was rich and fragrant, the samosas were crispy yet creamy, and the lassi was like eating a perfectly ripe mango in the middle of a hot summer day. the sauces added the perfect amount of spice and the naan was fresh out of the oven. My order was ready for pickup in less than 20 min and the staff were as nice as can be. I am beyond thrilled to have a new Indian spot in town and I will definitely be back to try a wider variety off their very robust menu. Thank you Amma and welcome to the neighborhood!
