I recently dined at Amorcito, a unique restaurant located in a hangar in Long Beach, and I must say, it was quite an experience. I decided to try their fish tacos and opted for the 3 papa tacos as well. The food was delicious and flavorful, leaving me more than satisfied. The combination of flavors in the fish tacos was outstanding, and the papa tacos provided a delightful twist with their savory fillings.

Excellent tacos, and bowls. Super tasty. The carne asada meat was larger cuts of steak than traditional street asada tacos.

I’ve tried over and over to be impressed with this place. The irony, I keep coming back so must I like something about it. It’s close, it’s not SuperMex, El Torito or Frida’s or Kalavera’s or King Taco. It’s not bland, but it almost is. It’s almost the right flavor palette. It’s latin food, I would assume Mexican but it also seems like it isn’t. Being Mexican myself I have certain expectations. Everything here is very grease and tomato reliant. It is all a very very goopy but nice looking mess with how the salsa is seemingly ladled on top. I’ve never gotten away with clean hands eating here. The portions are big but so are the prices, so it seems only less than fair. I scour the menu, still, for the item that speaks to me, maybe I’ll never find it. Maybe Amorcito is just an “almost” place. “Almost” good.

Got dinner from here last night with my family and we all really enjoyed it! The fish tacos were excellent, as well as the fish burrito and esquites! After seeing so many people with the beautiful Mangonada Margarita walk by I had to get one of those too and I highly recommend. We had great service from the gal working at the counter as well, very friendly folks working here!

Came here for lunch today, we got to the stand, there wasn’t anyone in line. When we came up they let us know that they weren’t accepting cash at the moment. It wasn’t an issue for me, i placed my order (watermelon strawberry agua fresca, quesabirria, and fish tacos). After we placed our order they give you a buzzard so you can walk around and explore the rest of the hanger, which is nice if you have never been there. We waited about 20 min for our food, then sat outside. The food looked really good to the eye, once we starting eating it was a different story. Over all the food felt like it needed more seasonings (not just salt or pepper) The quesabirria is always a good eat, but it is messy and heavy. The fish taco was good, but overloaded with guacamole and toppings, there were about 2 little bits of fish, i had a bite and tossed it. The agua fresca wasn’t as refreshing as i wanted it to be, it something sweet, dessert like if anything. If you want to try amorytacos, I’d go to their original location in Cerritos.

Customer service is horrible, the food has absolutely no flavor.

Amorcito is chef Thomas Ortega’s fast-casual spot in “The Hangar” area of the Long Beach Exchange (LBX) shopping mall. Their chalkboard sign describes this busy outpost as “a modern chef driven taqueria featuring hand-crafted foods, fresh ground corn tortillas, organic product, and high quality proteins brought to you by the crew behind Amor Y Tacos, Playa Amor, and Ortega!”

The food is decent, the churros by itself are good, I didn’t like the sauce that I thought it was cajeta but it wasn’t, the michelada is blah, and the didn’t have fish so I couldn’t try the other tacos

The tacos here are good! Great flavor and quality. The al pastor and carne asada are my favorites. The Soyrizo and brussel sprouts are also great choices too.

If you are from San Francisco this is a horrible place to eat or even compare to. No seasoning on the meat n lots of fat. Don’t be fooled by the looks. Trust me
