This place lived up to the hype and recent press it’s been getting. The basil popcorn chicken is amazing! Loved the bento box with the Taiwanese sausage, rice, cabbage and pork belly. The only downside is the atmosphere since it is inside of a gas station however that wouldn’t stop me from coming back again. I went around 3pm on a Friday which I thought it would be slow but they had a number of customers stopping in for carry out. I wish Amore Eats the best of luck and hope to see them open there own store front in Rockville some day. I look forward to trying other items on their menu.

It is taiwanese street food but considering the hype this place gets, was expecting it to taste better.

I adore this place. Both dishes I had were perfect, the Taiwan Beef Noodle and Braised Pork Rice. Then the vibe was . You should definitely go check this place out for your own sake. I can’t wait to go back and eat more from the menu.

The food is not bad for the price, but lower than my expectation since there are many 5 star reviews. I ordered braised pork rice, sticky rice with eel, savory tangyuan, and pork knuckle. The sticky rice is a little dry and hard. Hair on the pork knuckles are not removed (see my photos). Hair on pork skin must be carefully removed for any pork dish with skin on, otherwise the short hair will scratch throat when swallowing. Yes, it is a painful procedure, but if not done, it is better not to sell that dish.

Probably the most authentic Taiwanese restaurant close to DC!! It is a food stand with a convenient store instead of a fancy exterior, but the foooooood‼️

Small, authentic Taiwanese eatery tucked away in a gas station. The beef noodle soup was delicious – the beef was super tender. Sakura shrimp oil rice and stinky tofu were also delicious. Overall I enjoyed the food though I wasn’t blown away by anything. Hope they roll out other street eats like rice balls, fresh soy milk, and fried doughnut.

Pretty solid place with good prices. Popcorn chicken is what you should expect from a Taiwanese place. Beef noodle soup was also pretty good. It’s like going to jumbo jumbo in a gas station

They have the most authentic Taiwanese street food in DMV area! I did not know about this restaurant until it was recommended by a gourmet review on digital media. I tried their pig knuckle bento box, chicken wings and intestine & pig blood soup – all are great options! The only thing: the spot is a little crowded and may not be very accessible to wheelchair users.

The “Taiwan Burger x 4” or bao buns were delicious! 4 for $15 is a great price! A hidden gem, will definitely come back.

Hole in the wall place inside of an Exxon gas station. Owner is truly Taiwanese, and the food was pretty authentic. Had stinky tofu, blood & intestine soup, rice noodles, and dumplings. Stinky tofu was excellent though the sauerkraut (kimchi) wasn’t that awesome. Soup was very good, rice noodles were a bit dry but well made, and dumplings are big and plump, well worth the price tag. Overall a pretty good experience, will return to try other dishes.
