This restaurant is not Anar. It is called India Cafe. While I was excited to try Anar, the restaurant I walked into, India Cafe was also good. The service was quite slow, I wanted to get dessert but it was getting too late. The food was great and I’d return, especially to try dessert. I had the malai kofta and saag paneer with a coconut naan and mango lassi. All fantastic. They have a place a few doors down for take out and delivery orders.

Their Chilli chicken, Fried rice, mutton pepper fry, fried chicken and Puri were amazing! We specifically went there to eat south Indian specialities and it was freaking awesome.

Great food! As Indians we are always super picky about Indian food and can honestly say this place was delicious. We had Dosas and Idlis and the Sambhar was among the best we have had!!!

Ordered the Chicken Shawarma platter tonight and it was great. I had been craving Shawarma for the past few weeks and was happy to have visited them.

Wow. I expected so much more. Do you remember “jaw breakers,” well that is what there falafel is like. No tahini with it but maybe something like hummus. The Chicken Irachi Puttu was interesting, but could not really figure out what was in it. The chicken shawarma platter tasted like Shop Rite Rotisserie chicken cooked to a leather like inedible consistency. If you want good shares check out Irvington Delight. Oh yeah, their falafel are “Au point” (on point, as the French would say!

I have never been to a horrible restaurant like this before. The service is so bad. The waiter was on his phone the entire time and it took more than 1 hour to get the food to our table. The man left the table and took around 20 mins to serve a simple lime juice. We almost lost our patience. Then took around one hour to serve our food. The food was good, but they only serve a small portion. I hope this review will change their service and standards.

The worst food experience ever had. The food was from freezer and chicken shish kabob right from the frozen from super market. The more I write it making me feel sick. Overly priced the frozen food.Better to buy from food cart .

Go anyplace else. This is not a Mediterranean restaurant. It’s an Indian restaurant. I love Indian food but never even got to taste it because the waiter (owner?) told us to walk down the street to pick up our food. Yes, we went to a restaurant, who told us to go to another restaurant, to get our meals. I could do that from home. And not have to go to another restaurant. So, We left and ate great food at the Mexican place next door. My advice is do the same. Oh and I couldn’t find the kitchen. I don’t think they have one.

Anar was my family’s choice of dinner a few nights ago and we were not disappointed— despite the slight deception of this storefront being separate from the other Indian cuisine storefront one door to its left, after my family and I ordered food from the latter, we were excited to find that the two businesses were, in fact, partnered and that we could enjoy our order seated at a table (as opposed to inside of our car which was our original plan!) inside of the right-hand storefront! To our further delight, the restaurant side offered a stylish and comfortable ambiance in light of its authentic cultural origin, the same authenticity I found in the taste of the food itself— every dish of our meal was flavorful and tasted true to its origin! I personally recommend the paneer dosa from their selection of this fine Indian delicacy. Thank you for a warm experience!
