Love coming to this restaurant at night, because of its location (no fault of its own). California street transforms to a nicer ambience at night. We noticed how pleasant and attentive everyone was. From the hostess to our servers, everyone was just great. We tried the sampler appetizer, as recommended by our server, and so glad we went with his recommendation, otherwise we wouldn’t have tried the puréed eggplant appetizer.

Six of us met up to try some Turkish/Kurdish food. We started with Sigara Boregi (similar to a feta cheese egg roll) and an Icli Kofte (akin to an empanada with chili). Then we ordered a couple of moussaka (kind of a like an eggplant parmesan), Iskender (lamb), Chef’s Special Kofte, Grilled Lamb Shish and Grilled Salmon. The items were fun flavor-wise. The lamb and salmon were a little overcooked. The items that accompanied the entrees were nice texture. Service was nice, there was a tasty bread and oil at the table.

Extremely delicious food. The highlight was the dessert: an original butternut squash with tahini sauce. It was sublime!

Went for a Mother’s day lunch. Made a reservation but did not request an outdoor seating so we had to sit inside even though outside had tables available (I saw they later gave tables to walk-ins). Ambience & service was nice. Food was underwhelming for the price. Fried calamari appetizer was good but the quantity was skimpy for the price ($24 for 6 rings of calamari). Doner Kebab was disappointing. Rice was good flavor but meat was very dry and bland. Alezander’s favorite was a meh. Everything we ordered were 10-20% higher than the online menu (for instance, fried calamari is $18 on their online menu). Not sure if it was a Mother’s day price?

We went there for a date night, outdoor sitting is very nice and the vibe is good. The food was really good especially the appetizer platter. We also ordered chicken Shish Kababs and Moussaka which was good to. Overall service is really nice.

Tasty food, indoor/outdoor options, nice outdoor ambience with people milling about the closed- to-traffic California Street, live music nearby.

I went with my sis last night. We loved the chargrilled sea bass. It was lightly seasoned and very fresh. The fresh bread was delightful. Staff was very friendly. We also tried the beef liver appetizer. It was surprisingly good.

Incredible food quality. The pan fried liver was well seasoned, flavorful and tasty. I ordered the Moussaka which turned out to be fantastic as well. There’s something special about their side of rice and it goes really well with all entrees – it’s buttered and slightly seasoned, and you can almost eat it by itself. They also gave us a complimentary dessert for a birthday girl we had amongst us, and it was so good. It was simply baked pumpkin, whipped cream and a sauce, and that combo tasted heavenly. Will surely come back.
