Went there last night with my son before the Islanders-Wild hockey game, and we were amazed. We had looked up best pizza places ahead of time and saw Ancona had great reviews, and I don’t think those did it justice. The people working there were so friendly. They chatted with us, with the other guests, and it seemed like they knew every single one of them. This guy, they’re wishing him luck with his wife’s cancer treatments and reassuring him. This mom, they’re asking if the pizza is as good as she remembers and complimenting her daughter. They chatted up customers, and were so incredibly friendly. The pizza was top-tier, it really was. The sauce has a different flavor, very unique, and my son and I loved it. Now I have to buy tickets to another game, because my wife wants to try it, and we live 3 hours away. But we’ll make the trip. It was great.

The wings here are hands down the best in Long Island. You will not regret it. They told me the onion rings are just as good I have to try them. Pizza is good and a great bunch of guys. Make a night out of it. Good, friendly atmosphere.

Came in here because of the good reviews and immediately felt a vibe when I walked in. For the darker skinned folk reading this you know exactly what I mean. The pizza itself was pretty bad. The dough was kinda chewy and seemingly undercooked slightly, too little cheese and the whole thing was just a little too dry. They also don’t take card. Only cash. Would not recommend.

Place has a 80s feel to it with the booths and a Pepsi clock above you. Was packed with older folks and theyre grandkids. They only take Cash which is respectable. Pizza was decent, not the best, not the worst. Too much cheese for my taste, extra flop. It’s alright. If there’s a better place nearby then this is a pass, otherwise grab a slice if you got 3 bucks in your pocket

Overpriced, and it’s probably better to order on the phone so your order isn’t rushed or ill prepared. Because based on my own personal experience and based on previous comments it’s probably better to go elsewhere if you want quality or better prices over the other. It’s a good balance with this place but the previous reviews make me skeptical. Also all the toppings on my pie were dumped on like four slices, there was literally one or two plain slices. Wouldn’t be an issue if I was eating by myself like today but if I’m buying for others to share that would be an issue

This is a one of those rare places that keeps you coming back over the weeks and years. I recommend the eggplant parmesan, it is uniquely prepared and will be the best you’ve ever had. But really, anything with their sauce will leave you craving more the next day.
