We were able to snag a table late, and the whole feeling of the place was so unexpected in Chelan. I felt underdressed but most people were casually attired so no biggie. Our server was attentive and friendly. Drinks came fast and the food was not far beyond. Chicken piccata, the caper sauce was so tasty, and the shrimp with prosciutto pasta was smooth and dreamy. Go on in and relax amidst the frantic feeling of Chelan.

This restaurant was such a disappointment. Ambiance great, had good reviews, menu sounded superb with many varieties. Would have rated it 1 star, but at least our waiter made an effort. The food was either too salty, bland, and lacked the true flavor of Italian cuisine. The chicken was so rubbery, you couldn’t cut it with a fork. Even with a knife, it was a struggle. I agree with some of the other lower star reviews. This place is overrated. Won’t be coming back.

The restaurant closes at 8 pm, my partner and I arrived at 7:20 after a 4 hour drive to Chelan. We thought it looked peaceful, and it had vegetarian options on the menu for me. We stood there at the host stand for over 10 minutes and were completely ignored by both workers. The restaurant was not at all busy, why we chose it, and one of the workers even came to the host stand to check something and did not so much as even look up to acknowledge our presence. So, we went to Marcela’s Mexican restaurant instead and had a delicious dinner and great service!

Food is really good. Service is ok…they need to not judge people by how they’re dressed. We spend a lot (I think our tab for 2 was almost $200) we tip very well (25-30% on average) but we don’t dress up, we prefer jeans and t-shirts. Not dressing up to impress anyone. That said, the next time we come in, if we feel ignored or judged…we won’t be so gracious.

We’ve eaten here twice now. The first time was great. The last time we took family that was in town from England. We talked this place up as a fine dining experience. Our food came out incorrect, we had to ask for bread several times when other tables were getting bread that came in after us, and the choices of beer were minimal. I had to ask for more noodles as my fettuccini came out more like soup. I was given cold noodles in a box. Its not a bad place to eat, but I hope they can get it together before the busy season this year.

We had a lovely dinner. Great service, On our servers recommendation, had the Italian meatloaf. So glad I did! Had a great garlic forward spice blend.

I got the prawn and prosciutto dish that had a wine sauce, but the wine was not cooked out and the dish was very harsh tasting. My husband ordered meat sauce but got marinara and the gluten free noodles are rice noodles, not a great substitute. I also saw a togo order go wrong while we were there. Sad I’ll never get that $80 back, total waste of money.

The food at Andante is exceptional. Hubby had their special smoked steelhead pasta and I their Tuscan seafood stew… Magnifico! Their desserts are worth EVERY calorie and Cindy our server was fabulous. One of the finer meals we’ve had. Highly recommend.

Perfect spot for a birthday celebration. Lovely room, classic Italian menu and a fine martini. Sue was delightful as our waitress for the evening.
