Gotta start off by admitting that I’m a fairly easy pleaser. The meal I had (breakfast) was fine. Nothing a little hot sauce and salt couldn’t invigorate! The bananas were in pretty bad shape though. Not really yellow or green. Just sorta… dull. Like the light in the eyes of the workers. The PFC behind the omelette grill told me that one could get just two eggs per pink ticket. It used to be three! Funny, the places costs are cut to save money. Not when negotiating bloated contracts for the zillions of dollars of gear we’ll never use… but the chow hall. Ah, and the roads. The streets surrounding Anderson chow hall are plagued with potholes. Some air winger was telling me once that there’s a screw, or a nut, or some other piece of trivial hardware on the Osprey that costs hundreds of bucks. Perhaps we could appeal to the patriotism of the company that sells those nuts for a military discount? 15% off, and we could get an extra egg for every troop, some healthy bananas, and an asphalt crew to come pave the roads.

Worst Chow hall ever. Some of the workers are useless and give you attitude (especially in the mornings). The food is bad and portions are ridiculous. God forbid you ask for more food on your plate. Ticket system??? Get rid of that. I just want to eat inside and take my seconds back to my room. Every time I go inside the chow hall, a little bit of soul leaves my body due to how depressing the atmosphere is

Disgusting. The food is undercooked yet always somehow burnt. There’s no flavor, the veggies are made of rubber and the only barely-decent thing is the chicken but even that is pink and raw. Also, roaches are rampant and the workers are horrible.

Place honestly sucks all around the food portion would feed a child, they only have a single worker work one of two choices so if you go at a reasonable time your waiting on like for 40 mins waiting for some undercooked unseasoned food that makes you drink a gallon of water just to choke it down. There breakfast is alright if you get there as soon as they open.

The amount of depression that radiates here is astronomical. They keep one line open only for you to get half a serving with veggies straight out the can and rubber. The desert is bricks with frosting. The breakfast is the only thing that is satisfying here.

I hope whoever came up with the ticket system steps on a lego. the local employees here are extremely disrespectful and constantly in a bad mood. the food served here is normally undercooked or burnt to hell and there is no such thing as flavor in this place. definitely the worst chow hall i have eaten at in five years.

Hands down the worst chow hall in the DoD. Most of my pay goes towards buying my own food, and I’m not even mad about that. Blowing money on ramen noodles beats eating roaches and raw meat by far.

I watched a Marine slurp a worm out of his fish like a spaghetti noodle.
