So I stumbled upon this diner while in porter Square. When i entered there was a heavy set man sitting infront of an antique cash register. He never even greeted me but when others came in after me, he greeted them (hmmm?). The place was clean which was a plus. I ordered a breakfast plate (scrambled eggs/cheese, homefries, bacon and toast (it came with a drink) It came out fast and i brought it back to my car to eat (I wasnt sitting somewhere i wasnt welcomed). The food was disgusting…no flavor what so ever! Even the bacon had no bacon flavor and the homefries were boiled potatoes diced up. There was a whole potato stem in my homefries that clearly shows be it wasn’t cleaned and prepped well. I threw the whole thing away. I never knew breakfast could taste bad until now. I definitely will not go back for sure. Zero stars if i could.

Great easy local mom and pop 60’s style diner. Perfect place to grab a stack of pancakes and coffee. You will see lots of older locals sipping a cup of coffee and reading a book.

It used to be good years ago..now absolutely horrible. I had breakfast with family it was embarrassing. Food was cold. Potatoes were barely cooked. Staff was on cellphone while 1 woman was running ragged!I went to use the ladies room. It was disgusting! Black grime everywhere! Filthy! I don’t know how that would pass an inspection. GRRRROOOSS! I would use a gas station restroom before that restroom! Ugggh!

This is a great typical American Diner. The waitress was very nice and friendly. We had the Cambridge Classic and Fresh Banana Pancakes. The portions are generous and tasty.

Delicious food, hot fresh coffee, all staff very friendly & smiling, background music is very low volume. Very reasonable prices. Very clean yet 1970’s vintage atmosphere. Easy parking at meters. Lots of extra seats, not crowded.

Service- Long waited before we even was greeted and offered something to drink. Our waitress was awful. Snapped at us for asking busboy for coffee, got our order wrong, and was confrontational after we said the order was wrong, “you don’t have to leave a tip then”, and then later asked if I “was still mad” the order was wrong.

Typical Boston diner. Very courteous service from a team of working women, the morning I was there. One of us got lunch, one got breakfast. Both were adequate, not oh my god great but hey, comfort food.

The food is good and reasonably priced, I love that it is like a time capsule. But count the waitresses when you arrive, and leave if there are only 2. I’ve made the mistake twice and waited like 45 minutes to be served. The bus boys might be willing to bring you a coffee if you ask. That’s really tough especially if you brought kids.
