It was okay. Wanted beef nihari but they didn’t have it, so we settled for Neelam chicken. It tasted whatever. The chicken was tough, and the naan was stretchy and difficult to tear apart. The rice it came with was plain white rice and dry. No flavor at all or salt. Found out they have a new owner so maybe that’s why food wasn’t great.

My chicken was bloody. They made a new one and it was ok. A lot less chicken though which was weird. Everything else was extremely spicy, but they said it was mild. Server was kind of rude with our complaints. Son had a burger that was also spicy. He couldn’t even eat it. Will not be back, especially for the price

Dropped by here when we were craving some Indian food and it was a good choice! We got the kebab platter (the chicken leg was perfection and I’m someone who usually doesn’t like them!), mutton biryani (they were generous with the mutton), tava chicken (first time trying it and was different and amazing, roasted bell pepper flavor with chicken) garlic naan and plain naan (that could have used a slab of butter). Safa’s was great and provided good service all on his own.

Avoid! Looks like there is a change in the staff or owner. New chef or owner has no clue what cooking is. I ordered for peshawari naan. I was served a naan baked in oven with loads of sesame. For sure chef has no clue what peshwari naan is. The chicken tikka curry had no taste. Samosa were the worst. Horrible food. Not going there again.

This place actually surprised me with how good it is. I love meat and since it has Pakistani dishes I wanted to try some different meat dishes (they kept all Pak dishes despite it being called Indian due to a change in management). There isn’t a lot of Pakistani food in Austin so I’m glad there is a good one.

The food quality has significantly deteriorated in the last six months, possibly due to a change in ownership and definitely a change of chef. We used to frequent this place, but we’re unlikely to return given the abundance of other dining options in Austin. The chicken Kodai we ordered lacked flavor and seemed like plain steamed chicken in uninspiring gravy. The grilled dishes were overly sour and lacked the delightful taste we remember from before. Furthermore, the absence of beef items is disappointing. It’s unfortunate how a change in chef can negatively impact a once beloved dining spot.
