I don’t know if it was a bad day for them or what but the food was awful. The sesame chicken was burnt, so crunchy and gross that we threw it away. The general tsos chicken tasted like fish and the crab Rangoon were undercooked. It was actually quite disgusting. Pretty bummed that I wasted $45. Won’t eat here again

In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the *new*. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. The new needs friends. Last night, I experienced something new: an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at The Angola China Kitchen, who is, in this critic’s opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in New York. I will be returning to The Angola China Kitchen soon, hungry for more.

What should have costed 47.00 was now $60. The food was awful. We bought egg foo young which was burnt and dry and found a hair in my food. The sauce that goes with it tasted like vinegar. We used to really enjoy food from here. It has been getting progressively worse. Every time we go there, the cost is always more than what their menu states. I keep updated menus to keep up with the current prices. We won’t be back!

Seriously amazing. Personally I always get the honey chicken. No other place within 50 miles makes it, and if they do it’s trash. This place makes honey chicken so crispy, so warm and fresh. Lightly coated in a sweet sauce that is not over powering. I drive 20 miles from Hamburg just to get the honey chicken.
