I usually get the bowl which comes with 2 sides and your choice of meat. My regular are the ribs, I like that they are not smothered in barbecue sauce, they have a dry rub on them and you get the sauce on the side. Their potato salad has quite a bit of dill and I enjoyed the taste however my kids thought it was too “pickled-y”. Their chilly beans and mack & cheese are also delicious… I’ve tried the pull pork salad and it came with a lot of meat which I didn’t care too much for but I think it may have been that the meat was kinda cold. At first I thought it was too expensive but honestly the portions are huge so I think is worth it. For desert don’t forget the beignets.

I’m huge on BBQ and I must say this place has the best BBQ in Bakersfield. And I’ve tried them all my area. I would say Porkchop and Bubba’s BBQ being my number 2. My only big complaint is the lady with the dark hair who’s always at the front counter is VERY rude. I guess the name “angry” in their name really holds up. Almost every time I ask if they have the brisket point. She always replies with some type of rude snarky reply. Also, God forbid you ask for BBQ sauce she replies back “Well you didn’t specify in your order, so NO, there’s none with your food. Next time be specific with your order” type of response. And shouldn’t BBQ sauce when you order ribs should be included automatically? And their BBQ sauce is always served ice cold which is weird because any other place is always warm or room temperature. Their brisket is to die for is the only reason I keep coming back. Sometimes their rude services makes me not want to come back. It’s sad how businesses never treat their customers with kindness because we are the ones that keep them in business. I thought maybe the lady was having a bad day but I’ve been here at least 10 times now and it’s always the same type of vibe. I hope management can fix this or it will be an amazing all-around restaurant.

Wow! Spectacular! The brisket had a perfect char, the pork was melt-in-your-mouth, and both were amazingly tender. LOVED the tomato pie, and the corn bread and cowboy caviar were excellent. Huge portions. Can’t wait to go there again!

The food was great! Very filling and different from regular restaurants. I do recommend if u have a great appetite. I would also recommend looking at the menu ahead of time. When I went (with my family) it was our first time there, and the lady taking our order seemed impatient. Other than that, my overall experience was 5/5.

The only reason its getting 4 stars is because they were out of brisket and that is what a judge BBQ on. Unfortunately they were out.. Ended up getting the tri-tip and rib plate with chil beans and potato salad. The tri-tip was a little more on the well done side than I like, but the rubs had a nice smokey flavor that lingers. Hopefully the brisket will not disappoint. I can honestly say that both sides were better than Pork Chop n Bubbas, but the brisket will be the true test.

This is the best barbecue brisket I’ve had since Rudy’s in Texas. I’ve not been too impressed with most people’s brisket here in Bakersfield but this is amazing the portions are huge they know what they’re doing, I have no complaints which is rare for me because I’m very picky.

Fantastic BBQ! Some of the best in town! First time I’ve had grits and they were great. Also, I usually hate greens but these were amazing. The Turkey was moist and smokey. The brisket was so tender I could cut it with a plastic fork! Stop by and enjoy!

First and last time i order here, you discriminated based on people’s looks, classist establishment. Oh review on your food it is very bland, only thing worth the bucks was the corn bread the rest was trash. Super dry tri tip and to be honest your customer service is horrible .
