My son wanted shrimp for his birthday so we came here. Glad we did! Kids meals are a great price, and the adult meals were tasty and good portions. My shrimp po’ boy was great, with bread toasted just right and a flavorful but not overly spicy remoulade. My wife got the shrimp and grits, which was piping hot and had great creamy, garlic flavor. Beer prices were good, especially during happy hour. Kids loved to draw on the table paper, too. We ate outside on a beautiful 80 degree evening. We’re visiting the area, but we’d come back here again if given the opportunity. Plenty of parking while we were there on a weekday eve, also.

We went here because we saw it pop up on the maps. So happy to have a Angry Crab on our side. The restaurant is clean the servers are attentive. Appetizers came out timely and the food came out perfect. This was the best quality of crab that I’ve had in year’s, we had snow crab. We also had oyesters and mussels. The manager Larry was great looking forward to coming back.

First time at this ‘NEW’ location, and wasn’t great as expected. First off when I walked in, no one greeted me….I stood there for about maybe 6 mins with a lot of workers walking by and not one person greeted me, now I did notice the difference in a minority to rest of the people there. But the looks I got was ridiculous, really. There was the host helping two people by me and she didn’t even say “hi” or “I’ll be with you soon sir.” Just looked at me and kept on doing her thang. Now two other workers were behind the podium and she came up and just looked at me as well. With no greeting or any type of engagement with the customer at all. Now this is late off to a bad start, but I’ve been to the Mesa location many times and this was never the case there. Which I gave the benefit of the doubt. Finally after 6 mins went by. The host final came over and didn’t apologize or ask how I was doing. Straight to the point, how many people and name and number, here your wait time, boom that’s it. We waiting 30mins and got a table. The server Camille was nice and welcoming. But I believe she was also the bar tender which made sense to why we missed drink refills that were requested, missed an appitizer we ordered, and when we needed her she was no where to be found. Then I noticed she was behind the bar serving and making drinks. I thought that was very unusual. My kiddo spilled water and once again no one around, we cleaned it up ourselves. Other severs brought our food and just placed it down and left, didn’t ask if we needed anything m. When our server did come it was hard to get her attention again because she was behind the bar. I tried the Catfish po boy, was very bland and the only flavor was the Cajun May, which the sandwhich needed more of. But by the time she came back I didn’t feel like asking for a side of the Cajun mayo because of how long service was taking. Big differences in the service and food quality wise than the Mesa Location. And the restrooms were very awful and unattended. The sewer smell was bad! By wife and daughters were grossed out and said we don’t want to come back here again. Angry Crab Shack in Mesa is where we will be going from now on. Big disappointment in this “NEW” establishment. One star would be my review but the server was very nice just not able to provide the optimum service that I knew she could have if she was not also attending the bar.

Our waitress was super sweet and very attentive to our needs. I had the catfish, potato salad and the cajun fries. It was all good, I didn’t give 5 stars because the catfish didn’t have any flavor to it. They should add that Cajun seasoning to it. Now that would be 5 stars! The hushpuppies were so good! My husband hates them but since these had jalepenos in them and had some heat he really liked them. He had the Dungeness crab and sausage. I mean it Dungeness so it was amazing! The sausage wasn’t like what you get from other restaurants that offer it. This one was really good! We will definitely be back!
