Rice is uncooked and some of it are mushy. Whoever made it should stop and try to learn how to cook rice first. I should’ve believed the reviews in doordash. Ordered a side of their steamed chicken and it’s just 2 Tablespoon of chicken. Order took forever to get ready.

I’ve tried a lot of chicken and rice dishes from different Asian cultures and I have to say Angry Mom’s Kitchen knows what they’re doing. It’s probably better than my mom’s but don’t tell her that.

Food was not good. It tasted like I was served old food… The chicken was hard and tasted bitter. Whatever oil the chicken was fried in, added to the bitterness of it all (I believe the oil was rancid). The ginger rice was overcooked (mushy), and very wet. This was extremely unpleasant. Even the sauces I received tasted old/off.

I wanted to update my review as it seems that the chicken portions have gotten better with my last few visits. The chicken is delicious and the Ginger sauce is sent from the heavens! The flavor combination I never knew I needed!

I was so excited to discover this delicious and authentic Khao Mun Gai, which can be so hard to find done properly, even in a city like Houston. For those who’ve never tried this Thai street food staple, the secret is in the flavorful chicken sauce – ladled over soft velvety chicken slices with savory rice and slices of fresh cucumber.

Had the Khai Mun Gai and thoroughly enjoyed the sauces that came with the entrée. Wished the chicken had been a slightly bigger portion. The rice was very flavorful and had slices of cooked ginger mixed in.

What a great find! Been hoping to find a good version of this dish in Houston. Placed my pickup order via Square and you get texted a locker number to pick it up in – you get to choose white/dark meat and with our without skin, although dark only comes with skin. There is a bed of cabbage under the meat. The sauces were really tasty and I threw some leftovers into the little soup it came with – so good!
