This is without a doubt one of the very best spots anywhere in the northeast of Atlanta. Chef Nick is the real deal and designs the most amazing menus where each dish is a special flair on the traditional. Not only delicious, but creative and beautiful. The menu changes up throughout the year, always taking advantage of the freshest ingredients and keeping up with the seasons. I can’t remember having better shrimp and grits anywhere, but I almost always get one of the beef or seafood specialties. Oh, and the house cocktails are the best. They have a full bar and a great wine list, and they’ll make you any cocktail you want, but they always have an interesting list of unique twists on some of your favorites. Antebellum is a must do!

Enjoyable outing to Antebellum for my wife’s birthday. Service was good and really attentive. Megan didn’t miss a thing and checked in with us every few minutes. Food arrived quickly and was enjoyable for the most part, but we expected a little extra after the reviews we read before booking a table. Sweet carrot soup was tasty and rich. Buratta salad was nicely presented but the amount of buratta was too much for an individual appetizer. Entrées were Grilled Salmon and Beef Tenderloin. Salmon was well prepared and enjoyable, however the crispy cheddar grit cake turned into mushy grits as it soaked up the vinaigrette. Beef Tenderloin was prepared medium rare and didn’t disappoint. Golden potatoes were nicely done and complemented the meat. Dessert consisted of a berry cobbler, a surprise cookie with ice-cream for my wife’s birthday, and a black Port. The cookie was the highlight and should 100% become a menu item. Really delectable. The berry cobbler unfortunately was underdone (raw). We informed the chef and the item was removed from our bill, which wasn’t expected but a nice touch. All in all it is a good restaurant but needs a little work to smooth out some of the menu items and combinations. It is not a cheap night out so expectations are higher than with other run of the mill restaurants. We will be back one day to re-evaluate.

I see that this restaurant gets such high remarks and it is a favorite of many. It is a cozy place, but is also very dark and minimalist. It has a nice character and charm. They even have scented candles burning in the little alcove to the restrooms.

Excellent service and atmosphere. We came here for my husband’s birthday. Overall we enjoy the food. We weren’t crazy about the cornbread with the dipping sauce. Everything else was great.

Wanted to celebrate a friend’s birthday here. Menu was great. They started us of with their house special corn bread.. Not for us. It came to the table hot but it was on the dry side. Their starter special was brie baked in puff pastry which was fantastic and we’ll give that 10/10! I had the lobster risotto which was tasty and we’ll seasoned. I would recommend Antebellum and would return!

May 2023 update to my review: we celebrated our 18th anniversary and wanted a guaranteed great experience, so of course we returned to Antebellum. That butter lettuce salad is without a doubt the best I’ve ever eaten every time I’ve had it. We opted for many of the Chef’s specialties of the night and had no regrets!

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Antebellum and it was, hands down, the BEST meal we’ve EVER had. Megan, our server, was excellent, as was the bartender (unfortunately, we didn’t catch the name). My husband had the beef tenderloin and said it is the best he’s ever had. I had the halibut which was outstanding. The lemon blueberry martini was delicious, I highly recommend it if you like martinis. Dessert was delicious as well, especially the sticky toffee cake. HIGHLY recommend Antebellum, we will will definitely be back!

One of the best dining experiences you can have in the Atlanta metro area. All the food and drink items we ordered popped with flavor and freshness was evident. We look forward to going back to sample other menu items. Hands down one of the best tasting dining experiences in a long time pre and post covid. Customer service was exceptional. I recommend making a reservation and trying this place out.

Fine dining this is not. The most important thing to note is the ambience here is atrocious. For nearly 100$ a head you are treated to a rowdy “home style” atmosphere akin to a college pub. Our meal was overpowered by drunken shrieks and howls that, even when brought to the staffs attention, went woefully unaddressed. The food was superb, but took eons due to service that is frankly unacceptable for a Denny’s. Our waitress was inattentive and clumsy. We waited 15-20 minutes between visits from her, she spilled cocktails on the table and made no acknowledgement or apology, nor effort to clean up. The entire dining room had such volume I honestly cannot tell you whether or not they have music playing.

Antebellum is one of the top 100 restaurants in the US on Open Table and I’m here to say it is well earned. DH took me here for my birthday tonight and everything was amazing. Service was wonderful and our waiter was both informative and enthusiastic about the menu. The restaurant is a converted older Southern home and quite unique.
