Red Top Heaven- we traveled as a birthday adventure to try our first ever Monongahela Red Top Pizza. It was even better than I hoped! First of all it takes 25 minutes at least for this baby to cook. Oh the anticipation. It smelled divine and was piping hot coming out of the oven. It’s especially important to let this pizza cool so there was 5 more minutes of patiently waiting. From the very first bite I knew that I was tasting something special. The sauce was delicious, great tomato and garlic flavor. Just outstanding! The crust! The cheese so so good. This pizza is a must have. I love finding a pizza shop like this. A mom and pop that is an essential part of the community. A classic that still has the magic. The owners were so kind and friendly, it was a great way to spend an afternoon. So many more things to try. Can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I loved it. They were so nice, and the food was amazing. We absolutely loved eating there it just gave you a sense of welcome. It screamed family owned. Can’t wait to go again. The pizza was amazing. It had the perfect crunch on the crust. The garlic bread loaf was a hit as well. The homemade ranch was great.

I stopped in after a trip to Round Hill Park w/ my daughter and had a memorably excellent meal and experience. The red top pizza was unique and delicious. The owners were wonderfully friendly and accommodating by opening up the dining room for us even though they are currently take out and delivery only. For pizza afficianados (which is most everyone right?), Anthony’s is well worth a trip.

Terrible experience. Ordered two calzones & two tacos. Tacos were pretty good. The calzones were absolutely terrible. Steak & cheese the steak tasted like steakums… the traditional was pepperoni & ham? & cheese I’m assuming… anywho’s I could of made a sandwich and it been better than that. No marinara sauce ON THE SIDE AT LEAST? So of course I called and asked why there wasnt any… her response was “You didnt ask”. Any other pizza place usually gives it to you on the side especially but the sauce is usually IN THE calzone.. well they were closed by the time I called so I was just SOL. The younger me would of went down there & threw it at her… “I stated what came in you didnt ask for it” WELL I ASSUMED AND I GUESS MADE AN A$$ OUT OF MYSELF. That’s like me ordering a pizza & saying “well you didnt ASK for pizza sauce” in my eyes but whatever. So the mature me is writing a review ha. Donora knows nothing about good pizza AT ALL. They think Anthony’s & Marty’s is the best pizza on earth. LOL ORDER DOMINOES OR PIZZA HUT if you’re craving pizza or anything of that sort. Save your money & time!

I was encouraged to try “red top pizza “ after reading an article in Pittsburgh Magazine about pizza culture in and around our area. I made it a point to try one of the suggested places and wasn’t disappointed. It was well worth the ride from Washington PA. Anthony and his wife were so very kind and welcoming. They appreciated our business but especially so after learning we traveled 30 minutes to try their specialty. You wont be disappointed in this sauce-rich style pizza with a double cheese stuffed (yet thin) crust. Best of luck and continued success. What a valley treasure.

We got a red top pizza, which was pretty good. The only thing was pepparoni was extra. most other places that offer red top pizza, the pepparoni is in the pizza. Other than that, it was good. The business is cash only.

Oh my. A 16 inch pie easily weighs 5 pounds. Get the classic pie with only cheese as the filling. You don’t need anything else. Anthony and his wife are charming people.

The red top pizza was insanely good and very unique. I didn’t know what to expect, but the crust + cheese + crust + sauce arrangement really let the flavors shine. Their sauce is easily some of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely opt for the housemade ranch to dip the crust in.

After reading about “Best Pizza in Pittsburgh” in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette on August 7th, we wanted to try their famous “Red Top Pizza.” We weren’t disappointed. It was delicious and worth the trip. The owners, Anthony and Theresa made us feel like family. They were so warm and friendly. They genuinely care about your opinions of their pizza and want you to be satisfied. The pizza shop reminded me of Italy. My husband, Jack, and I will definitely be back!
