Excellent lunch offerings. The plates are well stocked for the price you pay. Highly recommend if you are near Mass General and would like an affordable sit down lunch. The mozzarella and prosciutto sandwich. The bread had an excellent chew to it.

I am reluctant to share this restaurant on a review as in my selfish way I don’t want it to get bigger. This intimate restaurant is all killer and no filler. Fresh made pasta and sauces, served on white tablecloths in an otherwise non pretentious atmosphere at fantastic prices make this a place to go for anything from a casual lunch/dinner to date night to impress the one you take on your local knowledge of good cuisine. My favorite is chicken fazolli (sp? – a special). Spicy sauce with chicken, onions over a bed of pasta. Add a Peroni or a bottle of wine and eat like a king.

A friend visited from California because his brother was having surgery at MGH, and this restaurant is located right across the street. The menu was excellent, and you could substitute any type of pasta you wanted on the menu. The food was cooked well, and the portions were more than adequate.

I’ve been eating here over 20 years and it’s still my favorite dining experience in Boston. The food is ALWAYS amazing. It’s cozy ambiance is comforting. The staff are mature human beings you like waiting on you. And there is such an easy intimacy among patrons, that is so uncommon.

I unfortunately had a terrible experience at Antonio’s. The owner was busy on a phone call when I arrived and gave me no attention. I went in anyway and the waitress told me to talk to him, who was now just entering the place – still on a phone call. He shows me the way to the tables in the back, I take a seat, then he tells me I can’t sit there (no idea why). The place was crowded, guests were being extremely loud (1 person screamed really loudly all of a sudden and employees did nothing), dirty floors, dirty dishes, and unorganized place overall.

Visiting Boston on a family vacation. This place was close to our hotel. We didn’t have reservations, but the owner found us a table. Nice people, almost felt like family. Food was good, and enjoyed the night. Being from out of town, the price was just a little higher then I’m used to. But “when in Rome”.

Got the beef with eggplant. The eggplant tasted like mold, and it was obviously not checked before it was cooked. The dish also had lots of marinara sauce and overall tasted plain. I told the waiter about this, and she tried insinuating that I was lying, by saying that, since I had eaten half of the dish, I must have liked it. What actually happened was that I was hungry so I tried to eat at least the meat – the only edible thing from my plate. Bad food, poor service, and inflated prices. The place feels more like a cantine than a restaurant.
