Have dined there twice a month apart getting sushi. Consistent quality on their Boat Entreé. It is a fun way to get a nice mix of more fish forward sashimi with some fun rolls.

While we did enjoy the cooking techniques, the food was not that good. Everything that we got, which was the steak and shrimp hibachi, and we had rice, vegetables and pasta. They used way too much soy sauce, and it was literally swimming in our dish. Everything just tasted the same and I have done elsewhere or you could actually taste the flavors of things we couldn’t even finish our food. Will not be returning to this place and we will stick with going to Orland and Tinley. They have much better hibachi grills .

Owners have not spent any money on upgrades. Seats where crooked. When I asked for regular soy I got the same bottle of low sodium and when I got the check the check sleeve was held together with tape. I gave the food quality a D. Great place to get sick!

I loved this place! I went with my friends and ordered their sushi and it was amazing! Got some rolls to share with everyone and it was perfect. It was very close to authentic sushi in Japan, I was impressed. Service was absolutely amazing and staff were all friendly. Highly recommend! Will be back soon!

We used to go to Aodake frequently when the kids were smaller and the food was great. Last night we ordered over $250 -rolls, rice, udon..absolutely awful. Nothing had any taste, sushi rice texture was old, not even salted, udon barely had noodles in it, salad was white lettuce. I was embarrassed that I ordered from there and ended up throwing half away. I called to let Mgr know and was told that they haven’t had any other complaints and that I could have 25% off my next meal but honestly, as bad as it was will not be going back.

Food was great. The waitress was not very good. Could barely understand English. She did not walk drinks around. She gave it to the chef to pass along over the grill. Did not bring out water and confused my wine order. Place was nice and chief was great and entertaining. If always busy. They should be use to it??? I would still go back!

Disappointed in dinner last night celebrating a bday. The food was all over cooked and dry. They automatically charge 18% tip but also tip on tax which is not right at all. Why should a person automatically get a tip when they arent even working for it.The service was slow in get drink refills had to call girl over. They bring out bday dessert with bday person in bathroom. Also when I called for reservation made sure they would have fun with the saki. The guy we had went around once with a small amount. When the table next to us had 6 rounds. How is that fair to treat one table differently than another when we asked for more. I have been many times to aodoke in the past and been happy but after service last night I’m definitely disappointed.

This was our first time dining here and all was well until we ordered a vegetable hibachi meal to go for my sister – she’s a vegetarian and allergic to shrimp and shell fish. Because we had already eaten, I didn’t have a menu when I ordered. I asked the waiter for the meal and we left. To my surprise when I got home there were 2 shrimp in the meal! I called the restaurant upset because my sister now has no dinner and we paid for a vegetable meal. The young lady told me with all hibachi meals they add two shrimp. Why would this be added to a vegetable meal? She was nervous to eat any of the meal because of this. The only thing she ate was the salad made with iceberg lettuce and dressing! The level of disappointment I felt was massive! My suggestion is if you’re going to serve vegetable meals or vegetarian type meals, do not add meat, poultry, shell fish or shrimp of any kind! Vegetarians don’t eat it! This is very disappointing and although they have us a credit for a meal if we go back, I’m not sure we will.

My daughter took me here for Father’s day. This was the best sushi we’ve had. Everything was delicious from the miso soup to the TNT roll. We also had the Spicy Crab rolls with the Spicy Shrimp appetizer both were very good and for the price you got alot of food.

This was our second time going and let me tell you, it’s fantastic! Great food and everyone is soo nice. My only issue is the 18% gratuity added on parties of 6+ but I completely understand why it’s there. We will definitely be back!
