Absolutely fantastic experience for dinner at Aposto – some of the best Italian food we have had in awhile. Cocktails were well made, and all the entrees were delicious. We split three entrees, all were delicious – the bone marrow linguini, gnocchi with crab, and the pork osso buco. Service was attentive and friendly. Creme brûlée was very good for dessert as well. Will definitely plan to return.

♥️♥️♥️ everything about Aposto! Our Server Emily was amazing and gave us great recommendations. Our dinner was delicious, it is clear to taste and see the quality and thought put into each dish by the Chefs. Pro Tip: If you can, sit on the porch for dinner. We had a great time celebrating our anniversary at Aposto!

Managed to score a last minute reservation at Aposto for our anniversary dinner. It was a beautiful night so we sat out on the patio. Great ambiance both inside and outside. Our server was very attentive and knew a lot about our dishes and the wine. She made a few good recommendations too.

Absolutely beautiful atmosphere. The service was prompt & friendly. All of the dishes were perfectly balanced with both delicate & bold flavors. A fantastic experience! I would absolutely go again to see what other wonderful menu items they create.

We had an incredible experience for our anniversary dinner at Aposto. Could not say more about how friendly and attentive the entire staff was. We received complimentary champagne and multiple “Happy Anniversary” comments from the staff which was appreciated. Everything we ordered was amazing, and both the portion sizes and pricing was better than expected for this high quality of dining. Thank you for giving us a night to remember!

If I could give more than 5 stars for service I wouldn’t hesitate to do so. Our meal was top notch – one of the best we’ve had in Des Moines in recent years. And our service was even better – our waiter was very personable and attentive and made sure we had a fantastic experience.

The food was absolutely amazing! The flavor and presentation is beyond fantastic!! The menu is limited so reviewing on the website is encouraged so you won’t be surprised. If you like bread, you need to order it, it’s not offered during dinner and not listed on the menu. If you dine Wednesday or Thursday night it is beautiful, relaxing and quiet. The decor and chandeliers are gorgeous! The wine list extensive. Weekends are a bit too loud and we were rushed through dinner…even told by our waitress we had to hurry through dessert because people were waiting for our table. Moments later she actually said we needed to move outside or leave. I thought that was incredibly rude especially since we were there short of 80 minutes. I definitely will return during the week…scrumptious, local and a Des Moines Gem!

We absolutely loved Aposto! The Scala House is lovely and we love the Sherman Hill area. Being in a historic home made the entire evening feel cozy and the food was fantastic. My partner and I shared the charcuterie board, cavatappi (all house made pasta), goat cheese fritta, and lemon cake. We had plenty of leftovers to take home and really appreciated the great service. Their menu is seasonal so we can’t wait to go back when they change their menu for a new season!

A wonderful date night! Had dinner here a day before the menus changed to spring. The pumpkin spice creme brulee was gorgeous, not too rich- not too much- and that perfect smooth consistency. I also enjoyed their cavatelli, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t more focused on dessert 🙂
