Don’t let this small diner inside a convenience store (Sapp Bros) prevent you from trying out the food. I asked the waitress for her favorite dish. She recommended the chicken fried steak dinner & it was delicious. The chicken fried steak was hand breaded, huge, tender & tasty covered in white gravy with a side of mashed potatoes, green beans, & remarkably perfect Texas toast. My wife ordered the chicken tenders dinner with french fries and BBQ baked beans and there was plenty to split with our granddaughter. The tenders were tender & fries were crispy along with the remarkable Texas toast. The only negative is that wait staff were very busy and not able to stop off and check in for drink refreshes or dessert orders. She was very friendly & got the food out fast once ordered (thank you). Overall, a great meal for a fair price.

My chicken tenders were juicy and the fires here cooked just right the seasoning was great, however DO NOT GO THERE FOR BREAKFAST. My aunt ordered a OVER EASY eggs and hash brown light not crispy, and not only were they both over cooked they were lukewarm. though we are not very picky people we wouldn’t be making this negative comment if our service wasn’t as bad as it was.

Pretty good restaurant. The service was great. Has a chicken fried steak breakfast and it was good. Eggs were cooked to order. It was slow to get the food considering only other other patron inside when we ordered. The salad bar was also closed is reason for losing a star. Would go again. Also a bit pricey.

The food was not bad, but the problem I had was my server. Quite a few times, I saw her coughing in her hand or not covering her cough at all. In this time, being post COVID made me a bit of a germaphobe, and she still touched my drinking glass. Apple Barrel, if you have servers or anyone who may be sick, PLEASE send them home.

This place is awesome. First time here I’m a trucker decided to come see if the food was good. I was blown away I ordered the egg plate and got an cinnamon roll over pancakes, when I tell you it was wonderful the food was super hot and super good.
