We come to Rockport often. I’ve been dying to try the BLT as that’s been my pregnancy craving. There were only a few pieces of wilted lettuce in my sandwich. One half barely had tomato. I ordered baked potato soup to start with and didn’t receive it. The soup was still on my tab when I went to check out and had to ask them to remove it. We never once got refills. $24 for two sandwiches I’m willing to pay at a nice deli, but unfortunately this wasn’t it. My husband ordered the French dip and it didn’t have much meat. I was so excited to finally try this place and unfortunately it wasn’t the experience I was hoping for.

Clean, cozy and comfortable. The service was good and the food tasted great. We got our soup right away and the cups are large! The sandwiches took a long time, but were delicious. Great place in Rockport for soup and sandwiches!

We tried this place due to the 4.5 stars, think this place is living off the past great reviews for old ownership. Food took forever, over 40 minutes for sandwiches. Saw other folks there waiting, we thought they were just waiting after eating but they hadn’t gotten their food yet either. Kids ultimate grilled cheese barely had cheese in it, was burnt with a burnt taste. My French dip had a sparse amount of meat, my soup never showed up, folks looked generally disappointed to be there as well. Wife had the Reuben and said it was the worst she’s had. My other kid got a decent amount of meat because she got the club and it comes with a bunch of different meats. They liked the strawberry lemonade. We didn’t bother to try dessert out of fear we’d have to wait another 40 minutes or more. Left disappointed and had to go find an ice cream shop to lift our spirits back up.

This is an Awesome nostalgic restraunt .The food is Awesome and the service is great! They make Homemade Soups and Sandwiches and Apple dumplings dessert is the best around! Not to mention I’ve washed a dish or two there. ❤️Go meet the new owners They are terrific.Thanks Apple Dumplings for a gret experience.!

We went for lunch and when we got there there was not wait and the table was ready for us. I had the club sandwich and baked potato soup ( the picture is the soup). The club sandwich was so delicious it was the best club I have had yet. The potato soup was also delicious I have never ate potato soup out of a coffee mug before. There is a single person bathroom here and it was clean when we went. The waitress was nice and on top of the drinks. I recommend coming here for good food and a good time.

Don’t normally write reviews but got to warn others. Waited an hour for less than mediocre food. The toasted bread for the sandwiches were burnt, barely any meat in the sandwich. The sandwiches were like what you can make at home. There was no way these sandwiches should take an hour. Everyone at the table needed refills and I had to get up to go get mine. Please do better. Wasteof my $60. Still had to hit up Whataburger because my teenage boys were still hungry from their tiny sandwiches.

The food was ok, nothing to write home about. Waitress was rude, no smiles, no small talk. Air conditioning was out, but they didn’t tell us. They told a few select people as they came in and offered them special seating. My sister was charged extra to add a little extra chicken salad to her sandwich. There wasn’t enough to cover the bread.

My husband and I are on vacation in Rockport, we are visiting from Austin. We got a recommendation from one of the souvenir shops in the main area of town to try this place. It was absolutely wonderful!! The employees are all super nice and even if it isn’t their table they still rush to you if you want/need something. The place is very clean. Their prices are fantastic!! And the food is SO delicious!!! We both loved it! He got the Rueben sandwich and chips. It was huge. I got the Chicken Club Salad and there was so much that I had to get a to-go container. Then he got an Apple Dumpling and I got a Reese’s peanut cookie. They were perfect! I throughly recommend this restaurant to everyone
