Took a trip to the painted hills and stopped in Prineville for lunch at the Apple Peddler. Super cute decor. Nice and big menu. Reasonably priced. Fast service. Cod was excellent and bread pudding was delicious. Will definitely come back next time I’m in town.

Had an excellent dinner after a hike in the rain. Ordered the day’s special which was a ribeye steak, and a glass of wine. Good quality for the price. Good service.

Service was awesome here the servers were so kind and the food was awesome. Stopped here on the way out of Oregon and had the tastiest breakfast burrito. The hashbrowns were crispy and the coffee was delicious. My kids got the waffles and apple pancakes and everything looked and tasted so good. The portions are pretty big. I would for sure be stopping here again.

I am not a one star person unless a place is horrible. This was not horrible but it wasn’t good. Our sandwiches were soggy on the bottom, the fajita salad was cheaply made, and most other entrees weren’t even average. The wait staff was nice but the food needs some serious work. It was certainly a low class restaurant. I won’t be back but would advise them to shorten the menu and find a few things that they could do well. They touted their Reuben so that was what I ordered and it was disappointing. Cheap and soggy rye bread (if that was even what it was) and the meat was too fatty for my liking. Not even enough sauerkraut. The bread pudding was alright but I expected it to be warm. It was like they warmed it in a microwave and there were only a few warm pockets. The caramel sauce was yummy though so there’s that.

I’m giving them a score that is high. They were understaffed but still trying to serve everyone properly. They had a sign in the window regarding the understaffing and that they were hiring. The food was good and the prices were very reasonable and the staff was very nice.

The pancakes were truly the best, even better than ny own. I had an omelet that was perfect. The service was very slow, due to only 2 people on schedule, so do not go if you are in a hurry.

My husband and I are from out of town, we spent a weekend away in a little location around the water, went for a drive thru several towns just for relaxation, got hungry and found the Apple Peddler which is a very cute restaurant. They gave us good service, we liked their friendly people but the food was not so great, seemed frozen and microwaved, it was overly dry, didn’t taste like anything and was hard to chew. This place got potential but the food needs to be of better standard., nothing replaces fresh quality ingredients and home cooked style meals, it adds to the experience of dining out and will bring new customers

Tonight was not the best. We have had better food there before. Took almost half an hour to actually get our food and it was overdone. Had to ask for refills on drinks. We were told it was because there was a room full of firefighters. There was, but one waitress would have been fine to cover that. Hope to have better experience next time.

Awful, waitress wasn’t to pleasant, a bit rude. Gravy had NO sausage, so that was a lie (gravy with sausage) it was plain gravy, then there was a hair in the biscuit. Waitress hardly came, we had to tell a different waitress about the hair in the biscuit, the sausage that my 9yr old niece got wasn’t thoroughly cooked, it was an awful experience, I just came to visit my daughter here in Prineville, I drove from NM, I am thankful for some of our Farmington NM waitresses that actually care about their customers, unlike this restaurant. I don’t recommend if your Native, I guess, cuz others around us had better customer service O’well

Good service. Food…..you get what you pay for. Canned gravy. Frozen chicken fried steak. Cheap toast. Three tiny egg omelette looks like it came off a kids menu. Fresh cracked? Eggs are 99 cents a dozen. Good flavor. The chef did a good job for what he/she has to work with.
