I cannot for the life of me remember my servers name. She had short blonde hair, a tad plump but not real heavy or skinny. She ran the bar also. Wore glasses. Best service I had on my entire VA trip, honestly. She literally catered to my boyfriend and I. We ordered specialty drinks, she was straightforward about what did or didn’t taste good there. For our other specialty drinks she wasn’t 100% on how to make them but said she would try it. She made one (we ordered two), brought it to me to taste first to make sure it was correct, it was actually perfect. So she went and grabbed the other. The food was very good but I’ve never been a huge fan of Applebee’s food in general. The service made our visit worth everything.

This place is great, food is inexpensive but always freshly prepared and the wait staff is polite and doesn’t leave you waiting on anything. They are what the dining experience should be like when going out. Their menu has really come around since visiting other Applebee’s years ago. Try the boneless wings and quesadilla Burger!

Staff was great, but the riblets were not fresh. I’ve eaten here plenty of times before and always had a good experience until now. The food was bad in general. My wife’s Cajun chicken was slimy, and the riblets were awful. I spent my time throwing up in their bathroom before I could leave, and again the following morning at home.

Several of the bartenders are about as good as you’ll get when it comes to people and service. The food is consistent and they aim to please. A solid entry near Exit 6 if you want a consistent pour and an attentive, competent, consistent bar staff.

We arrived at the restaurant around 9pm. The restaurant was quite empty, perhaps 2-3 tables and 2-3 guests at the bar. We were not greeted even though we know at least two employees had seen us due to the wonderfully awkward eye contact. It took a little over 10 minutes for us to be seated (a party of 3 btw) as more people arrived to dine in as well. They also were wondering why it was taking so long for everyone to be seated. As a server in the restaurant industry who has done this for over 9+ years I am very understanding and empathetic but to not even be acknowledged upon arrival was disheartening. However seeing how it was Father’s Day, we figured they probably had long day and gave them the benefit of the doubt. BOY WERE WE WRONG. The waitress came over and took our drink order, I had asked for a water and tea, my boyfriend a beer and water, our son a water. Instead of bringing all the drinks at once, she delivers the beer and apologizes saying she is bartending as well. It’s like not only we’re they lacking the drive to work, but clearly they were 86’d common sense. She could have brought all drinks at once but instead made trips, and forgets my water. No big deal I have a tea and can drink my bfs water. But then as the evening continues we order our appetizer, so far so good. Or so we thought.. after we order our entrees it took about 45 minutes to receive them. I order the bourbon street steak. It had absolutely no flavor and was luke warm. Plus I order medium, it was over done. My boyfriends order was also cold as well. Still not that big of a deal to us. We started getting frustrated when what should have taken a hour, maybe an hour and half dinner took us a little over two hours. Our food didn’t come out all at once as if they didn’t have trays to deliver the food even though they definitely did. The most aggravating part of the whole evening, we would ask our waitress for simple things, such as boxes. It took over 15 minutes to get boxes. The best part we wanted to box a majority of our entrees to go, and she gave us the smallest boxes in the restaurant. I swear I was waiting for Ashton Kutcher to walk out and say we were getting Punk’d. Then we had to wait another 15 minutes for bags to carry all the to go food. I wish I could say maybe I was overreacting but unfortunately the table in front of us had a bad experience as well as the server never delivered their appetizer. And to top it all off, the table behind us was dirty when we arrived, and stayed dirty the 2+hours we were there. It will definitely be a Father’s Day dinner to remember that’s for sure!

Plenty of options and decent food. Server was helpful and friendly. No problem with substitutions. Food took a long time to get to us. Nice big booth for a large group was helpful. Relatively quiet on a Monday night.

We’ve eaten at this restaurant numerous times. The food has always been good. My favorite is the Bourbon street steak. This last time it was exceptionally good. The steak was very tender and had a great taste. All in all we always enjoy ourselves.
