My friend and I stopped in to this Applebee’s while on a road trip. The restaurant itself was fine, the food though was just ok. The reason for the four star rating is because our server was fantastic. We got the nachos and pretzel appetizer and sangrias.

We ate lunch here on our way to Suffolk. The food was good, the sweet Tea was fresh brewed and a little strong like I like it. The restrooms were not very clean but at least they didn’t smell bad. Our waitress did a decent job. Overall it was a good experience and recommend this place as long as it’s not packed.

I still have my receipt. But not in front of me. I believe Kiante answered the phone like she was some auctioneer and then put me on hold and disconnected my call. I called back and think I spoke with a Chris ….VERY PROFESSIONAL nice sounding voice and he took the time to process my order. And he was just as pleasant when I arrived. To.my surpise there were only 3 patrons in there. And then I saw Kiante, the one that answered my call. Tuh. Well, I ended up giving a tip to the young man that opened the door upon my departure. Best customer service in the place smh. I wouldn’t go to this location if it were the only place open during a hurricane

Tonight my family and I went out to eat at Applebee’s in Emporia Virginia and for the 1st time ever and I did not tip 20%. Not because I couldn’t afford it but simply because the server truly did not deserve the 15% I gave her. My daughter sat for 10+ minutes with nothing left in her cup, she walked by numerous times and did not say anything or just bring a refill. Even after asking for a refill it took forever. Not only did that happen after waiting 40 minutes for our food (not servers fault I understand that) we had to ask 3 times and 2 different servers (one of them being our server) for silverware. So our food sat in front of us for quite sometime and we had no silverware. Not one employee was smiling, or happy. We were not even asked once were we asked how our food was. Once we got our silverware to begin eating I never saw our server again until I was walking out the door. I should also add it was slow inside the restaurant. Maybe a total of 10 tables amongst 4 servers and a bartender.

i was seated quickly but it took about 15 mins for a server to come greet me. But as I sat there there were bugs (gnats and mosquitoes) The food was tasty. Drink was perfectly mixed but presentation of drink (margarita) was sloppy. My server was nice. You can tell they were running her crazy…. I went to use the bathroom and I came back the manager was about to throw all of my stuff out. My fresh drink I had just order. It made me feel rushed out and not really wanted there. And it also showed lack of communication with in the staff.

Placed a to go order. Food was good but not hot. Servers were standing around watching me wait to place an order but didn’t come to assist me at all. After standing there for almost ten minutes a server that was actually assigned to tables named Jessica passed by greeted me and asked had I been helped. I told her no that the other servers were just looking at me stand there. She apologized and politely took my order. Other servers didn’t even try to assist her in doing that.

Worst service that my family and I ever had. We had to ask for refills on our drinks and on our all you can eat plates. We were there for 2 hours before we got our second plates. Still didn’t get all of our drink refills by then. Had to get the manager involved and he was unprofessional. To top it all off, both bathrooms were 100% out of toilet paper and very dirty. Will never go back. We tried to leave but it took another 30 minutes to get our check and boxes..

After reading all the bad reviews and being on the road for over 12 hrs we didn’t want to go searching for a restaurant so we went here! BIG mistake, service real slow not busy in there, maybe they had 7 tables with customers all others open. Bar had two customers and bartender couldn’t keep up with flow someone helped her. 10 min before we were recognized then over 20 min for a burger then we like others had our food and no utensils. Our server said they were just getting them cleaned. More employees then customers! Will never go back.
