I understand this is not intended to be fine dining with gourmet cuisine. What it IS is a family oriented place for decent, unpretentious lunch and dinner when you shop or live in the area. Frankly the food has improved enormously over the last couple of years. I just get annoyed when I find a favorite on the menu and then it gets deleted. Grrrrr…. The burgers, steaks and salads have always been tasty and if something is wrong, they will make it right. Pasta dishes are very good as are the fish & chips, French onion soup and ribs. One of my gripes is that the decor hasn’t changed since I can’t even remember. I also detest the TV screens. Seems to be predictable wherever you go for a casual meal. Guess if there’s a bar you can’t escape it even in the restaurant section. We usually have great servers, but recently they’ve acted like they would rather be anywhere but there. Our female server was too busy flirting with the manager to be much use to us. Parking can be a tad problematic during the busiest hours. They do offer carryout, game nights and drink specials. One of the nicest things is that they offer some food selections for ordinary tastes. You can have a choice of menu items that don’t combine ingredients that should never shake hands let alone be combined on the same plate. The steak, salads, soup, fish, veggies, Mac and cheese, everything was cooked perfectly, served hot and fresh and was all tasty and recognizable. The Margaritas and Long Island Iced Teas were well made and not bashful. Definitely not all ice with a splash of liquor. Latest visit, all varieties of ribs tasted the same. Bahama Mama’s were pretty good. It’s a simple neighborhood place. Enjoy it as such and don’t expect too much.

Nice location, very good costumer service, and I would take one star from the food as the stake was little tough to cut from. But it is a good place to go to.

The food was wonderful, but I was placed where all I could see was Maplewood police stuff. All week I have been with the family of Isaiah Hammett murdered by police in stl. For some whom have been the victims of police brutality or lost a loved one to police. They don’t want to be reminded when stopping in for food. Maybe take down or throw up some pictures of other murderers.

This was the absolute worst dining experience. I’ve experienced in several years.

Food was tasty. Service was great. I love the grilled chicken breast with mashed potato and brocoli. Top Sirloin was delicious but a little too dry to my taste. Crunch shrimp was also very delicious. We didn’t get a chance to order desert because we were informed at 9:55 that because of the new COVID restrictions, the dining room closed at 10, though it says the official closing time is 11pm. Had I known earlier, I would have ordered desert earlier. I really hope I can try their triple chocolate meltdown when I visit next time.

Service was slow, never checked back had to get another server to help us. Ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and chips and it came out with a blob of parmesan cheese. My steak was not done correctly and the sides were cold. Sent it back twice. Took forever to get food and then not correct. They were more interested in talking and cleaning than their customers.

We were so glad to get to go to a dine in experience, and it was social distance and clean! Our hostess was helpful and when the manager came to check on us, that was great too! I hesitate to complain because I know there’s a strain on food workers, but our waitress was possibly the least professional I’ve ever had! We sat at the table ten minutes before she came to see us, when we asked about happy hour (on website but not on disposable menu, I understand why!), She literally said, “I forget,” and then started rambling about what it maybe could be but then was like “nope, I don’t know,” and didn’t offer to find out. Similar story when I asked about veggie burgers. I asked her if she wouldn’t mind finding out. Five+ min later she returned and was like, “oh I forgot, they told me, but I don’t know.” So we ordered, nothing from happy hour, and no meat. A long wait later we finally got our drinks and finally got the long ago requested water. My friend ordered a strawberry margarita which was priced around$5. The gal brought a normal margarita. When the waitress finally came to check on us, my friend so kindly mentioned it, said it was ok, but to please make sure she was paying for what she requested (the wrong drink she was served was $4 more). The waitress blamed it on the bartender and was like yeah, I won’t be on ticket. Long wait later said friend asked for ticket and again reminded of drink pricing.. When we finally got ticket… $10 drink was on ticket….. So then the manager was moving around. He replaced the $10 drink with the$6 drink, but shouldn’t he have comped it? I know all businesses are struggling, but I was shocked at how poor of a serving experience we had! Food and drinks (besides wrong one being brought) were good tho!
