This was the best meal I’ve had in a LONG time! I do not like home made cornbread and this was delicious. The fried chicken was so crispy. BUT THE MAC N CHEESE WAS TO DIE FOR! I could eat this every day for the rest of my life omg. I will 100% be ordering again!

I drove by this place for months saying I wanted to stop in and try the food. This was my 1st and last visit today. Catfish tastes fake and rubbery. Whatever brand or vendor that is being used for your catfish PLEASE cancel them. I do not like cheap catfish. The peach cobbler was cold, burnt, and had one peach in it and it was cold. I have never gone to a restaurant and had cold refrigerated peach cobbler served to me like that. I asked for yams and got mashed sweet potatoes.

I had a wonderful meal at April’s. The service was good, the atmosphere was clean and happy. I only say happy cause everyone was eating and not really talking. I like to see that when I walk into a restaurant. I had the Turkey Wings, cabbage and Mac and cheese; I enjoyed it all. My husband had chicken wings cooked crispy at his request, string beans, rice & gravy and Banana pudding. He loved it. Now, another good sign to me is they were out of peach cobbler, on a Sunday at 2:30 pm. So the cobbler must be good. Will try to get that next time along with the Blacked Salmon & Dirty Rice. This is my new weekly spot. We just don’t have good Southern Bistros in Douglasville GA. I Pray it’s here for the long haul.

I’ve been ordering from here through door dash lately and I’m really impressed. The Mac n cheese, yams, cabbage and turkey wings are very good. Also my order was ALWAYS correct when I received it. I highly recommend.
