We had lunch catered today from A & R. The food was excellent. We had the pulled pork, slaw, potato salad, peach cobbler and I had a turkey leg. So stuffed after eating that the cobbler is still waiting to finish being devoured. I haven’t had their bbq in years and was not disappointed. My favorite was the potato salad since I am slightly picky about what people add or if it has to much mayo or mustard, etc and it was on point. Go see Pit Master Mike @ the Hickory Hill location and taste how good the BBQ is!

I order 6 – 32oz(1qt) $93 of pork shoulders. The meat did not add up to what was order, so I took it back to be corrected. The person who prepared the order showed me on a scale the weight(6.1)of the shoulder meat in the pan. The person said that extra meat was put in the pan, please do the math on extra meat . Not sure if scale has weight on it before use or what. I eat there on a regular, food is good, prices are okay, service iffy.

A few different people digested this place as one of the better BBQ spots in Memphis. Tried it, loved it and will eat here again, if I’m ever in Tennessee again. Pork Shoulder Sandwich, half & half spicy/mild sauce, seasoned fries and Strawberry Fanta. I’m addicted to really good BBQ & this place is really good.

My cousin & I went to Memphis for the weekend and a guy at the airport recommended this place. We live in Atlanta but we are from North Carolina so we know good BBQ. This hit the SPOT. It was really good and priced well AND The potato salad did not disappoint.

I am so disappointed in this meal. I also tried to contact the restaurant several times before I left this review. I purchased 2 turkey breast sandwiches hot and when I say the person that made it poured globs of hot salty seasoning in one area I mean that. I almost choked because it was so overwhelming. The person that took my order I specifically asked them to have our food lightly sauced. I’m going to share a picture of the area of the sandwich where they I assume purposely out the seasoning. I was craving barbecue, and I am highly disappointed. You can smell the seasoning it’s just that much! After trying to call them 4 times I gave up. I’ll never eat there again. They aren’t worth my money. The owner need to train the staff how to properly prepare their customers meals. I’m surprised they are still open with the reviews the people are leaving.

Very disappointed… BBQ plate mostly fat and bones with fies swimming in BBQ sauce… Two rib sandwiches..served on white bread wet with sauce and slaw and the rib meat still contained bones… no silverware or napkins in bag.. I normally eat at the other location. Will not be back to Hickory Hill.
