Romantic and cozy, with local artwork featured all around. The food is always incredible, but if your fortunate to be there for scallops… well all I can say is you’ll not be disappointed. Their steaks are cooked to perfection, and the service outstanding. Definitely fine dining in our little town.

The food was amazing and the services was great! I am lactose intolerant and the chef whipped up an amazingly delicious soup for me so I wouldn’t miss out on any of the courses. The prices were also very reasonable for what we got.

Everything we had was so flavorful and well balanced. Get the chimicurri beef shoulder fillet, any other their salads with their champagne vinaigrette and the bruschetta appetizer. Amazing!

What a disappointment! This restaurant promised so much and didn’t deliver. To start, a southwest chicken soup that was thin & bland except for the overuse of cayenne pepper. Then a salad with supermarket croutons, julienne beets which tasted canned, and lettuce in overlarge pieces. The bread was superb, whole garlic cloves baked inside. Then the entrees. Halibut… an irregular portion, overcooked. The seasoned potato slice was very good. Can’t remember what my friend said about the vegs, but no raves there. I ordered spaghetti ala carbonara. What I got was a sad version of linguini Alfredo with dried-out pieces of pancetta. The waitress raved about it… “and I’ve been to Italy” so she said. Well, I’m Italian, and lived in Italy for a year, and this was NOT even close. I couldn’t even finish it. So, on to dessert. Opted for the creme brulee. Out comes a cold white mousse, not a hint of caramel. Creme brulee is pure silk delight with the crisp sugar top, and it’s not that hard to make. But this was just horrible. As for the art… ok, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we really tried to find one thing worth looking at. Some of it was so bad we ended up laughing outside on the sidewalk.

We were at this restaurant in Brookings last November (2012). We must have visited them on a good night. The steelhead trout was delicious.
