Very relaxed diner setting. My brother had his wedding reception there. Small enough crowd to fit the place, but filled it up. Had the salmon, was incredible. No one complained about the food. Appetizers, desserts were excellent. Wonderful waitstaff. Owner is a veteran and a great character. Not fancy place, but the bride and groom were free to put their mark on the festivities. Had an absolutely wonderful time. 5 stars without a single reservation.

This tiny gem of a cafe has limited hours and a small bill of fare, but is more than worth the effort to visit. No chain restaurant this! Though the menu is short, the ingredients are fresh and well prepared, but make early reservations as there is a real risk of sell out on some the more interesting dishes. The atmosphere is cozy and artistic without pretension and the staff all seem to be excited to work there. Today we treated ourselves to a Sunday brunch that included breakfast pasta with fresh vegetables, ham and bacon, cereal coated french toast and fried chicken that was both crunchy and soft as well as savory and sweet and juicy enough to send my toes tapping. I am so happy our area has a creative, comfortable and most of all delicious eatery. Here’s hoping where the Urban Bistro is flourishing others will follow.

Yesssss!! This place is such a little hole in the wall. The food was INCREDIBLE! We pulled up and thought it may be another place we’d being going in and walking right back out. So glad that we stayed. Not only was this little place beautiful on the inside, but the servers and owner as well. Margarita pizza, chicken picotta, the fries were out of this world, calamari, and wine. Lonney (the owner) was such a sweet woman, and her egg pie is to die for. We will be back.

Attended a small wedding reception here in mid-July. The owners closed the restaurant to the public, so guests were able to enjoy each others’ company, the stylish ambiance, the quality of the food, and the attentive service. I would love to return and have the opportunity to choose from the entire menu (though it’s hard to imagine anything could be better than the salmon I had ).

When I read all these reviews, I can testify that all our experiences, which have been many, confirm all the positive reviews. My wife and I have never been disappointed. Neither have been my friends. If you want a really enjoyable dining experience in Saginaw, head on down to the Artisan Bistro. Oh, and if you like a really good selection of artisan brews, the Oracle Brewery is right around the corner, even accessible through the back hallway!!

Love this place! Small, intimate, great atmosphere. We went for brunch and got the breakfast pasta, along with the shrimp & grits. Super flavorful, super delicious! The staff are awesome. Extremely friendly, and welcoming, especially the owner. She made a point to talk to all the tables which was nice. I’ll be back every time I come home to visit for sure. Highly recommend!
